This is my second video of yours, the first was the egg and bacon pie. Cos I’m on my own I don’t cook a great deal for me but OMG!! Its been a very long time since I’ve made an egg and bacon pie or a steak pie. I’ve decided that I’ll make both but make individual pies cos my mouth is watering right now. I always used to make different things with the left over pastry also so I’ll be doing that as well. Thank you so much for your beautiful home cooked food. I used to love cooking. I find it very difficult standing up at the bench in the afternoon due to my chronic pain so I’m going to cook in the morning and just reheat it before I want to eat. I can get my vegies ready, prepped, waiting to be cooked and I may start eating properly again after watching your videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you. OMG!!!!! Im so hungry after watching this video lol.

The salt in the egg, also helps with the color and crisp of the pastry too. I like sprinkling some celtic salt on top of the egg glaze. It tastes like a pretzel. I wonder what it would taste like if you mix in a little of the leftover ale and or worcestershire sauce in with the egg.🤔🤔🤔

My grandparents were English and I grew up next door but one to them and I love the way my Grandad cooked. He made a Steak and Guinness pie that I can still smell to this day. I love to see you cook the good old-fashioned meals of my childhood. He also made what he called a "spotted d....k", don't mean to be crude but that is what he called it. It was a pudding he cooked in a sausage shape in a pudding cloth and poured custard over it when it was cooked. I think he put sultanas or raisins or maybe even current in to make the spots. By the way..being from Newcastle in Australia I was so pleased to see you using the Newcastle ale. We are about miles north of Sydney, we always say that the best part of Sydney is the road going to Newcastle, so much quieter here. Keep on being you, authentic and real.
