Great job! What is the green tool you’re using to clean in the beginning, and can you just hook it up to a portable extractor? I recently added granite Reconditioning, but just use my polisher for the deep clean then wipe. That looks like it makes it easier. Thanks!

The reflection is much like polishing automotive paint. I imagine a heavy cut pad and polish would remove all the grime off the counter top prior to doing the polish step. Could also possibly coat with a ceramic sealant on a semi regular basis

Anyone wanting to enhance their Stone countertop-- you need special Diamond grit polishing pads that attach to an angle grinder in order to polish any stone. Read that again. The diamond Grit pads effectively "sand" various stones and cements, like sandpaper does to wood. The higher the grit, the finer the Finish. Only Diamond pads can cut stone which is why they are required. No way around that. It additionally takes many repititious passes, while increasing the grit number to achieve a real Flawless and new polished look. It also has to be wet sanded, meaning lots of water and muck everywhere. This video is basically only deep cleaning. Not polishing. The closest you can get to polishing would be to use an automotive cutting compound with an orbital buffer. That is still only a very light cleaning, as the compound is not abrasive enough and the pad not strong enough to achieve what it is you have pictured in your mind. So your expectations will be let down. Baking soda/ water paste will help remove scuffs that cleaners cannot, if you buff it in well enough- especially on white marble/ quartz. Otherwise the only option is to Diamond grit polish with pads starting/ increasing from 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, etc. Hense the many passes required to achieve glass like finish.

@@SteamBossInc Appreciate that, but I live on the other side of the planet. I don't need to be snarky like others as I have seen you answer a few questions. The company I used here put marble in first. It's very white (I want to see bugs) and was toast in weeks... probably no sealer. I made them replace with granite (in the original contract) and they slipped in "natural granite" which I've been told is a marble. It's has more shine, but splotches. It's only about 10 feet. Any suggestions? Do you think with hogs hair and the m20 I could get out the splotches (probably water)

😭 Thank you I'm a stone hound and we bought our first new house and it has Galactic Galaxy granite countertops and I could tell that they were poorly taken care of just by the pitting the warping and the tap routine also looking a bit funga afide as a backsplash. Turns out we had a bad condition of black mold in the house and dry rot due to the gal like letting her dogs pee all over the house and using nice product to cover up the smell to where we found it too late. I've been cleaning the countertops and they've been looking better but it's still such a long process and I'm like what the fuc why is this taking so long. The fact that they've been improving and not getting worse tells me that okay we're not going to lose these countertops but I just know how Stone Works and I'm just kind of like there's stuff deep down in there I tried steaming I just don't know what to do and I didn't know that they could be professionally cleaned. Sadly I have not had the experience of seeing too many nice Stone table tops are countertops being well taken care of they've always started to look like s*** and then people replace them. Identity to the stone and what an expense. I was thrilled to see that I had granite countertops in the home. However I was hardly discouraged by the last owner and the Damage that she had done. I was not raised in a home where you had to bring in professional cleaners for anything. Discount barely cleaned and sealed everything seen that that method definitely did not work I was wondering what do professionals do is it just screwed? Looking online with daunting then finally I found a modest post talking about what the pitting is and what is used and the proper way to go about it that professionals do it and I was thrilled. I've been in this house for 4 years thank God the travertine for the backsplash doesn't look yellow anymore it doesn't smell in my kitchen anymore the galactic storm Granite is starting to show the color definition with huge chunks of quartz crystal coming through. The warping is gone down but there's still some places where you can tell she did not take care of it and when the slides were lined up with the epoxy there's a wide epoxy Gap and they're not quite lined up which I know is caused by absorption and microbial. Never have I been so happy to have a home from somebody who didn't want to lose it. She was definitely an entitled person and somebody caught up with her suit her for a million bucks and that's why she had to sell the home. Is a 1957 Ranch it is a beautiful large home and a lot of the personal charms are still there but just the 5 years she was in this home I have already have to replace some of the floors thankfully the drywall is okay but she wasn't entitled slob. The sink has the exterior window right above it that is now an interior window and the the drywall has more so bad that we're probably going to have to take it out I've tried my darndest to get that wall to go back like so much of the other tiles but you can tell she just never dried her sink and we have some chipping and it's getting close. Sorry this is so long we've been living in this house for 5 and 1/2 years right before covid hit. At the time my fiance finally got a job with his degree earning enough money to keep up the home and unfortunately somebody misted the budget and he only got 2 years out of the 5 year contract. Cut that off with the fungal infection and we found throughout the house that made me sick and killed two of my cats. Ripping up the carpet but still loving my countertops and still trying to work with the travertine tiles to get them to flatten back out and line up again. We're finally to the point we're getting back up on our feet, and yet here I am again trying to bust ass for these countertops when I know like a thorough washing not bits and pieces is the way to do it but these cleaners are buying aren't cutting it. Glorious B me and my fiance find another job or contract that will keep up his pain and in this area so we can keep our home because these countertops surely need the love. I could just see somebody buying this home and letting them go to crap. That's not fair to the stone and the craftsmanship that went into it they really did a good job I can tell that they did a good job installing it despite the warping and inclusions. Thank you so much may God bless you and may God bless us to where we can hire somebody to do the proper cleaning and sealing of these countertops that way I can move on to other things in my home. Light the floors. Tore up all the carpet in the house painted the plywood floors and they thought they were plywood because we're moving the dry rot was fairly easy. It was kind of a disaster our first home right before covid find this dry rot I get sick to the cats died his contract job drops the ball he has to go for another job that pays in literally half as much is other job I try to make myself go to work I broke my arm at Home Depot and it's been hard. I'm chronically ill I caught the fungus all over my skin. I'm singing dermatologist but it's taking time I'm lucky you did not develop into my lungs but considering I was trying to clean and I was living in this field that I was not aware of until we ripped up the carpet and impregnated my skin and I've been suffering with it for 4 years now. It completely sucks. I'm about ready to cry cuz here I thought maybe it wasn't clean them good enough what do I do I mean like I didn't know the professional cleaners that would come in and do this stuff and it just makes so much sense because I clean rocks. I thought it was feeling I just spent hours like you know slowly pulling up in removing all the little material that had gone down into the fissures and cleavage the Stone. Hours upon hours just feeling hopeless my fiance is thinking like what the hell is she doing why is she cleaning it like this you know just a disaster everything's been going so slow. Things got even slower my fiance hurt his back. Got a begging to go see the doctor and he didn't. So he's moving at the place I was moving 2 years ago. Which is you're lucky to get out of bed eat some food watching TV and pass out. I have lost count how many times I was breaking out in shingles the first three years. I'm thankful to God that at least he can still work as a mechanical engineer. I'm a graphic designer and would like to work unfortunately because of my condition that is improving it is still quite a struggle and keep up with the home. I know things will turn around and all I can say is praise God I've been spending hours upon hours upon hours trying to get this Stone to go back to the way it was. The poor maintenance was so bad not only did have a yellow film it also had a very bad smell. 90% of the smell is gone but every now and again I wipe something I can smell it and I know it's again microbial. I've gotten healthier sometimes it would suck a clean it and my skin would flare up. I successfully worked on them for about 5 hours and just only felt nauseous. I'll pray to God there is a way. No God will work everything out and I can get somebody in here to alleviate. Thank you °~•.☆.•~°

I work at a stone restoration place and we don't use that machine to clean and we use resin diamonds to hone and polish you can use chemicals such as 5x or mb12 I think it's called lol I don't look at the names of things anymore I just grab what I need anyways you don't need that machine to clean the surface but you will need that hand machine and a sealer isn't necessary on a polished finish it's just an upsell unless you are using enrich and seal or some other color enhancing sealer
