I begged my daughter not to make these (I hated the ones in the store-my only experience with these). Boy, was I shocked!! She made them anyway, and I loved them!!! I couldn't believe it!! I no longer hate steamed buns (still hate the ones in the store). But, I love this recipe!! We didn't have any hamburger so she used a food processor and took a roast beef and ground it up to this-fantastic!! Maanchi, how do you make everything taste so good??? I haven't found a recipe that you make that I don't like!! Every one of your recipes are a winner!! You have an amazing gift from God.

These look wonderful, I have a ton of asian chives in the yard, and I'm making pot stickers tomorrow, I may just do these as well, thanks maangchi, I tell everyone about this site when they like your recipies - I think the funniest one was making kkakdugi with the raw oysters, and letting it ferment at room temp for a few days while we went out of town, it exploded all over the counter and it was a real leap of faith to eat what was still in the container and had not bubbled over, but it turned out brilliantly, looking forward to more! By the way, your fried chicken, just using the potato starch is the all time bomb, everyone loves it.

I made these today! I tried to steam them, but forgot the cupcake papers so it didn't turn out well. Instead, I FRIED them! They turned out so delicious! If you decided to fry them instead of steam, and you're too lazy to make dough (lol), trying using buttermilk biscuit dough that you would buy in those popper can containers at the store! We ran out of dough so that's what we used. If you need to reheat them after refrigerating them, warming them up in the oven keeps them crispy. :)

Made this today .delicious / dough was moist. . Thanks a lot. . Love watching you
hail from New Zealand..I've popped in to say that I've tried your recipe last night, a perfect opportunity to try out my brand new 3 layer steamer pot that I've bought recently. Tried your dough recipe and oh....its a definite keeper! Pliable to work with, making it easy for amateurs like me. (lol) Any blemishes in folding them close got smoothing over so that in the end, they ends up looking they were done by 'professionals.' Also, they've come out, nice and fluffy. Big thumbs up for the dough recipe. As for the fillings, I've used yours as a guidance but added in a bit of sauce into the mixture (not too liquidy or too much). It was supremo! Gave some to my mother-in-law (who never had any in her life!!?) she loves it...and I'm planning on doing more tonight ;-) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Maangchi :-)
