I love my 2019 5.0 ford f150. I almost bought a f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. I never regretted my decision getting the 5.0, 5.0s rock!

I love my coyote! I think Ford hit a home run with this engine. In either application it's a winner.

Have a 2013 F-150 XL, standard cab (52,000 Mi.), long bed base model with the Coyote engine. I've been really impressed with this pickup and engine. This 5.0 liter has more HP and torque than my 1994 5.7 liter Corvette LT1.

I recently purchased a 2014 Coyote F-150 FX2. It came with a straight piped exhaust system from the dealership and it's probably the best sounding F-150 I've ever heard.

I think the wire arc technology is enough to turn me away from the 5.0 now. I have heard some bad things. Thoughts on this?

Great vid I owned a brand new 2017 raptor it lasted 3 years engine sucked apparently that was a bad year for the raptor anyway I traded it in and bought a 5.0 lariat and I love it had it since June 2020. Question what rims are on the truck

Love this idea. Seeing what people like boosted f-150- does with his and the monster it is for what it is. Then the mustang stock bottom end coyotes can handle insane power. What I love is instead of LS swaps we are finally seeing coyote fords swapped in mustangs. I love the raw great comparison and content here.

Yah, love how you didn't talk about the simple fact that the gen 1 truck motor has .5 less compression ratio. Better motor to use if you want high boost...

Quick note. Longer intake runners are better for low end. Short intake runners are better for top end. The intake pulse reflects off the throttle body so long runner = long time = low RPM.

I love the 5.0 in my 2014 GT, marred only by the 6 speed manual transmission. There is so much torque a 5 speed would have been a better option.

Two Questions:-->edit, 3 questions 1. You said, "upgraded 10R80.?.. Please explain 2. Does the coyote engine in the F-150 have different cam profiles than the Mustang coyote.?.. .. Or is it just tuned differently?? Thanks for the history lesson .. Now,😞I have to memorize it.😔..😄 Oh, what engine is the Predator?.. ..and what was it offered in.?. Inquiring minds need to know😆
@steedaautosports
@steedaautosports 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Eric! 1. Ford stated that the new Mach 1 will receive a 10R80 with an upgraded torque converter and unique calibration. 2. The F-150 has a milder cam profile spec'd for torque in comparison to the Mustang. 3. The Predator in the GT500 is a 5.2L Cross-Plane Crank Supercharged V8. Hope this helps! -Chris

@@steedaautosports ☆thanks Chris☆ I became interested in Ford back when Alan Mulally became CEO and the Raptor was developed under his watch. Before that, I was always GM knowledgeable. Retired now, so my wrench days are minimal. 2012 Raptor & recently .. .. 2019 Mustang GT with a little tiny fender badge in place of the 5.0 . .. ~Roush~ hmm?m, '\_(•¿•)_/` I think I need a Coyote badge on the back . .. in place of the GT

To me I love cars and vtech Honda’s were great. But now having basically a v8 with vtech just gave so much of a new feeling. And dodge Chevy guys I hear all the time saying “the mustangs definitely sound better”. Only thing I worry for 2021 is the f-150 is going to have cylinder deactivation on the coyote to save fuel. So I hope whatever they are doing to do that is not going to ruin the coyote now that we finally have a great swappable ford power plant
@bap7929

Depends on your goals with the truck. An intake manifold swap would help drastically, to either the 2018+ Mustang Manifold or the CobraJet, and a tune to go along with it. Hope this helps! -Chris

so obnoxious trying to find real 5.0 stuff for specifically 1980s-1990s 5.0 EFI and all you get is this crap .... I hate that they re-branded it.. so obnoxious to see shit that no REAL 5.0 person can afford. There is only one 5.0 and it's that much more reliable.

@@Titus-as-the-Roman Just a troll. It's actually a damn good motor. Some people have reported oil consumption issues after 2018, but overall, it's a damn good motor. Some people are just haters. I have a 2016 with a 5.0. Great motor.

@@soko1450 I have zero oil consumption on my 2019. I have talked to other guys at car cruises F-150s & Mustangs and not anyone yet, running a Gen-3, has told me, of that problem with their Gen-3 Coyote. I suspect that there are some, but too few out there, and the engineers have tweaked the problem. There was some talk of the wrong dip-sticks being in some of the engines and the engines were thus, overfilled with oil, but that has not been verified. So, likely just internet talk.
