FYI I am 153cm and I've had my leap V2 for just one day and already I know I've made the right decision. Immediately after sitting down and adjusting the chair to my liking I was able to work for hours without feel any back pain. My husband and I just finished trailing the leap v2, gesture, fern, and sayl. 5' and 5'6". Independently, we both ranked the chairs in the same order: leap >sayl>>>>gesture>fern. Leap and sayl were pretty close for comfort to us, but the leap raises a few inches higher and the adjustable arms pushed it over the edge for us as the winner. Leaning back on the gesture actually felt like the chair was attacking our bodies, twisting us into uncomfortable and unnatural positions. And the fern was so disappointingly uncomfortable. Appreciate you getting the leap headrest here so we could completely avoid that mistake!
@Ahnestly2 жыл бұрын
No worries! I thought the Leap felt very "meh" but goes to show every back is different!!

@@Ahnestly I had the same exact vibes Darwin, I had the fern on the list first due to the hype and looks, so I went to the store and sat in it, it was far too firm and lifeless for me, I was so disappointed, the chair doesnt adapt to the body I found, then I tried the leap v2 and fell in love, it forms to the body, doesnt look as nice not a chair u can hype by looks alone, but comfort is what matters and it trumps the fern, the fern is really overrated in my opinion. Every body is different though but for my body I love the leap v2.

Counter review, when purchasing a decent office chair to work from home I tried a Herman Miller Mirra 2, Aeron and Logitech Embody, but didn't like any of them. Both the Mirra 2 and Aeron seat pan would give me thigh pains and the Logitech Embody would give me lower back pain (think this is due to the backrest making your neck lean forward slightly). Received the Leap v2 (no headrest) the other week and love it. The aesthetics are no frills, but the comfort can't be beat. I honestly thought I was going crazy spending lots of money on chairs for them to hurt after short period until I tried this one.

I prob won’t do that comparison since I don’t have the leap v2 (I may do a how to get a used one though!) but they’re both fantastic chairs! Great ergonomics, but the seat padding is really disappointing. I'm around 110kg, and after about 4 months of use the padding of the chair is mostly...not gone but it's nowhere near as comfy as before, with my butt constantly feeling a bit of pain. It's definitely a firm seat in the first place, but still, needs more support or thicker foam to be honest. At least you can take the seat apart and get it reupolstered, but that's just an extra cost on top of an absurdly expensive chair. Get one second hand for half the price and re-do the foam if need be.

I had to send the Leap back, but I would say both are a great fit - the Leap offers more flexibility in seating since it's padded all around, but is less breathable. I had high hopes for this chair but to be honest I have only had it one day and already don't like it. The frame is very painful and digs into my thighs. It amazes me that they did not just add a way to adjust the seat depth so that it could go in and out. Some people say that I will adjust to the chair, but shouldn't the chair adjust to me? Is it normal to feel the plastic frame? All the movements of the chair are amazing. Its such a shame. I so wanted to like this chair. Now I am considering a Leap Plus? Beware poor service from Steelcase. They delivered one of these to my driveway in the rain where I can't see it from inside instead of taking it the short distance to my covered porch.

That’s not steelcase, that’s the delivery folks. They can’t control that but would recommend you let steelcase know!

i just picked up a used Leap V2.. and to be honest.. if i had ordered one brand new for $1k... i would have returned it promptly. this chair is NOT worth $1k on their site.. in fact if you pay more than $200 for this you're being ripped off. the universal arm rests.. suck. period. the plastic the chair uses is flimsy, and again.. for $1k.. its a horrible investment. the sliding lumbar option.. is usually removed by a quite a few people i've read about who ordered it with the lumbar option and may do the same to mine. it is a good chair, it is very comfortable.. but no lie.. dont pay anywhere near the retail price of $1k.. look for them used local and save some money.. i paid $150 used locally for mine.. and i feel the price is just right for it.. $1k.. laughable.. at best. really dig your videos, they are very imformative! cheers
