I believe there's a mod that adds a Megastructure called the "G.L.U.E" Station that allows you to restore a broken world to a Barren World, which you could then use another Megastructure from the same mod to then turn that Barren World into a "Lifeless Habitable World".

You're actually is a pretty sweet position to rebuild. Two megastructures, friendly neighbors to the north, only a single access point to the south and an easy path to expand in to the east because that FE and the raiders will make sure noone else can rush the area. You're going to have decades if not centuries of peace to rebuild in.

This Origin can also be really strong for Machine Empires since Habitability isn't a concern for them, and they can even colonize normally uninhabitable Tomb Worlds with no issues (and if you get the applicable Ascension perk, you could even turn said Tomb World into a Machine World later on).

Also, the Earth is an ancient primordial Monster that needs to be fed with blood so it doesn’t eat everybody. So an Origin based on that would be very interesting. And with a primitive race, you could even have the possibility of getting an event where you can actually try to warn the primitives (provided their ethics wouldn't make them Fanatic Xenophobes, since in that case they would very likely never listen to you and would just be outright hostile to any attempts you made to speak with them) that their world is dying and will explode in just a few decades, and in the process you could offer to allow them to become part of your own Empire (and thus have all of the primitive pops on that world move to either your Capital [if it's appropriately habitable for them], or to your nearest colony world that is closest to their ideal level of habitability or help them find a new homeworld (and in the case of the latter they could then become your Protectorate with a massive *permanent* increase in their opinion of you....since you literally saved them from dying along with their homeworld when you could have just as easily left them to die with their planet).

I played with a mod that allowed you to set the countdown to 10 years. But honestly, the negative modifiers weren't as bad as the ones Paradox put on the start. It ended up with a supernova instead of just the planet exploding (so your starbase gets pwned as well). With the mod and 10 years time you basically had to settle the first planet you got - without a care for its habitibility - and it would cripple you so hard (you would still lose pops because there is no way to earn enough credits to resettle them all) there would be no way to survive, if it weren't for the brain dead AI (even on Grand Admiral). But dang if wasn't the most fun I had min-maxing my start.

My first doomsday run I found a planet fairly quickly (surprisingly as I play on 0.5 habitable worlds), but it was small. Managed to get a colony up and running but was limited in space and development with early game tech. Then the bad news: 2 genocidal empires to my north who quickly ate the normal empire that was a buffer between me and them. Despite getting a few more colonies up I was way behind and got fanatically purified shortly after, not being able to properly defend myself. Was fun though.

This looks pretty much like one of the sets up in Human Fallen Empire mod, in which the moon gonna crush into homeworld planet in 10 years, quite a challenge I have to say.

Habitat will provide more minerals through the districts it will get. Since it is or was an actual planet.

With only 3 boundaries to defend you're actually pretty good (and one only threatening) ! The economy is not of course, but nothing unfixable.

For some reason I like this videos more than the late game Stellaris gameplay. They should introduce cool stuff like this, maybe even add once and for all a late game terraforming projects option, I remember upgrading the moon (barren), for example was really a nice touch. Always felt that some things are stagnant, we could at least use a new more expensive model for science ships or constructors also.

a boost to influence production would be good for this origin as would cheaper colony ships that being said this origin seems to go well with lithoids
