I have to agree on your assessment of the temperature adjustable cutting/heat tool. I recently blasted through a 3x5' multi layered stencil with a lot of detail and it proved to be worth the under $40- price (+ I also used an in -store coupon and saved even more). Thank you I enjoyed seeing your process

The stencil cutting method was very interesting. I am anxious to see the stencil actually painted. Thank you.

Definitely the easiest way I know of cutting out stencils. The painting of the stencil can been seen in this video: Spray Paint Stencil - Stencil Tutorial - Stencil Tutorial For Beginners kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2q1mp-dgpKfi9U

Thanks for taking time to do yer vids sir it’s good help I was needing. I’m with you in that I want to have more detail in my stencils but with less energy and time spent during the process. The wood burning tool with the clear material is really the way to go. I happened to have the burning tool with all the little attachments and some clear I bought to make copies for some screens I was making for some band shirts so after watching this I had a nice silhouette cut out in less than ten minutes. It really takes the dread out of the whole process. I want to learn how to do the multicolor stuff asap as I love the details you achieved on # 2 & 3 and fast as well! I’m going to check your other vids out shortly.

Great tutorial, About to try my first multilayer stencil! Drawing it myself, already dreading how much it’s going to hurt to cut xD not sure where to find clear film in my area, but I really want to try that. I use pretty thick card so cutting it out is massively time consuming xD

Can you do a step by step tutorial on how to make a multi-layer stencil of a Dragonball Super Character or Characters. I’m a Huge Fan.
@andreatrammell83856 жыл бұрын
That's smart. I've never seen someone use a soldering iron for plastic.
@divine19535 жыл бұрын
Ich use this too. It's really helpful. I print the layers directly and 'cut' it out with the heat tool.

make sure to work in a well ventilated area. some plastics have chemicals when heated that can cause cancer if inhaled
@dudleythird61232 жыл бұрын
@@Missfenyxx so what u saying is it best to do that type of work indoors when cutting out plastic?

How do you keep the stencil laying flat? I've been having issues with it popping up in places...
@Pennstate125 жыл бұрын
whats the thickness of the acetate paper you use for stencils? I bought some recently .003 was the size and its way to thin for cutting stencils.

Can you make a video on how to make your multi layer stencils on photoshop?
@ishmaelgrim5 жыл бұрын
Real quick question how do you determine which is the next layer in the picture but do you break the picture down I don't have a computer so it's a little bit harder
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
You need a layer for each colour/shade. Start with the background and work your way forward with the layers

how much would you sell these for normally? do you even sell your stuff? I think that is where I have a hard time; pricing my stuff.
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
Pricing is something that takes a ton of experimentation. I usually sell my space painting poster boards for around $20-$30

What do you recommend for stencils sticking??
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
Do you mean your stencil is sticking to the painting? If so you need to let it dry for longer.

Is it okay to use stencils from the internet? I thought they were copyrighted or trademarked. What about stencils you buy in the stores can you use them in your artwork??
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
Copyright law is extensive. I’d suggest getting this info from someone qualified as I’m not an authority on the matter 🤘

Do they make a knife for the soldering gun
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
They do! I find that a pointy tip was more effective but the knife might work perfectly for you
@gilbertorobles94137 жыл бұрын
How much do you sell a piece that size for?
@Aerosotle7 жыл бұрын
Gilberto Robles $45 per record. You get multiple sprays out of each stencil so it makes it easier to sell them for affordable prices
@larrykelley18185 жыл бұрын
What tip are you using
@Aerosotle5 жыл бұрын
I use a tip that I’ve sanded to a fine point.

So can you use the heat tool on cardboard or only plastic?
@dustinhilton54016 жыл бұрын
Mandy Williams i know you asked this a month ago but the answer is only the plastic
@kyleweeks87657 жыл бұрын
hi, can you use your heat iron on card stencils?
@Aerosotle7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it. You'll likely just burn the card stock. Xacto knife is the way to go for card stencils!
