• Confidence by not internalizing negative past relationship experiences • Attentiveness • Associating with low quality men, be selective for quality men • Have a sense of humor • Putting effort into yourself physically • Be feminine, exude that comfortable energy around men • Don't be a pushover or door mat. Set boundaries on how they treat you, stand up for yourself when necessary • Be his peace & calmness • Be loving & positive to him • Find out his specific needs & desires & give that to him (without compromising your values) • Taking care of yourself

I dated a guy that decided to end things bec i never have and never will have premarital sex. He really liked the way i am and my looks but he told me that he needs a "normal relationship". He really liked me but i let him go. No begging or crying. I just let him go. I went into zero contact. I know my worth and i know that women like me are not common. I prayed about this situation bec im christian. Months later hes back! He told me he always had those feelings for me and wants to try things again. Lets see how it goes! Im praying about it. Even if it doest work out, he saw my value and confidence and thats already great! Whether its him or another man i know im a high value woman yay!🙂🙂🙂

@demetriawilliams82113 жыл бұрын
I can totally relate to this statement, but I continue to be who I am in this way because maybe just maybe the light and grace from God will shine upon whoever I'm interacting with. I have realized that more and more people are uncomfortable with being their true self openly in fear of being seen as vulnerable...All to protect themselves from potential hurt. So for me, that is okay. We all have a right to our own timing of things. I certainly have. With love, I take this into consideration when I interact with people. So, when I need nourishment, healing, and regrouping from outside negative influences I look within.

Learning how to be alone and happy. One of the things I've learned to master. I have been single for 5 years now. Been in a place where the absence of a partner does not make me feel insignificant is the greatest feeling ever. It has taught me so many things about myself, what I want from a relationship, the type of man I like and what my needs are. Investing in myself has really been the best thing I've done. I have a higher self-worth knowing what I have to offer in a relationship and the things I deserve from it. I have also learned that it is more important to be single than being in a relationship. The person we are in our singleness is the person we bring into the relationship/marriage.

If a man is not treating you well he does not deserve you and God did not send him. I was recently told by a gentlemen I am no longer dating, that I'm "too analytical". He said, "I'm used to a woman being more emotional. You analyze everything first." Talk about shocked! I replied, "I'm not going to feel bad for putting logic before my emotions in most situations. I'm not going to feel bad about being able to analyze my feelings, the actions of others, and see things from another perspective, before articulating my opinion. It took me years and lots of work to get this way. When I have an opinion based on pure emotion, I will tell you there's no logical bases for what I'm about to say or do other than it makes me feel better to make this choice." Never thought I would get dinged for THINKING first. Sigh...

I am single at the age of 40 now. I believe that the points you make here are HUGE! Young single ladies please listen up. I think that my willingness to entertain any man who showed interest in me, in an effort to always be seen as nice, may have had a much bigger impact on my life than I ever imagined. I did not have proper boundaries as far as friends go. I always had various men hanging around me, who I was not actually dating. I think it did lower my value in other men's eyes. Also, the effort department. Because of my upbringing, religious beliefs, parent's culture, and financial situation, etc. I would often forgo make-up. I always looked awkward. I never had good fashion or even clothes that fit me properly. I didn't even realize I was supposed to be shopping in the petite (under 5' 4") section until I was in my 30s. 😔

@Stephen, where were you when I was growing up??? I soooo needed a man to teach me these things when I was younger. But, it’s okay. I shared this video with both of my daughter’s. Keep doing what you’re doing my brother.

I can honestly admit, even though I am healing from a broken heart, the things you are saying in this video is the things my ex poured out that I am and do for him when he was begging me back. I was in a long distance relationship for over 1 year and we spoke of marriage from the beginning. A couple months ago he confessed he had been lying about some major things. And hes spoken about so many things, even long distance, that I was supportive and loving and affirming and my silly laugh...and at least I know there were these things I built up and was able to pour out of myself. So I pray to remain hopeful to gift it to the right man for me one day

I feel like I do and I am all these things. I’m not perfect but pretty close to my best version of myself. Yet I’m 41 and still single never married. Still holding out for the one who sees me and appreciates all this that I am. I never seem to come across any great quality men. Is my king even out there??

Keeping our well-being at top notch physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is so important and like you said even just having QUALITY water can make a huge difference (like avoid drinking from plastic bottles as substances that seep into the water can be harmful to the body). And of course healing - I have the ebook Love After Heartbreak (thank you ❤️) and it is powerful and the world needs it - there a lot of broken people that don’t even realise that they need healing 🙏.

Stephan, I really like your point about how the type of men you hang out with can damage your ability to attract quality men. People do judge you by the company you keep. Men are competitive and they pursue women who are pursued by quality, high value men. Men do not want women that other men do not want.

Thank you Stephan. Fulfilling the partners needs... This is what I’m going through, but from a woman’s perspective. He’s not fulfilling my needs. I fulfil his though. I wonder if many women experience this? For example, he asks me what I want for my birthday, I say jewellery or perfume. He THEN tells me what HE thinks I need i.e. he wants to get me sportswear. Really?! I don’t want sportswear! 🤦🏾♀️ Bamboozled? I’ve been very transparent as well.
