Kobe is one of the most underappreciated superstars ever, at least outside of LA. He perfected his game, some of the best footwork I've ever seen, tough shot-making ability, played both ends of the floor and was an underrated playmaker imo. His skill is amongst the elite and some of the greatest we've ever seen.

Its because they had to validate labron for veiws. If you acknowledge Kobe than it takes away from labron. Because than labron wasn't even the best player that played when he played. People forget Kobe won 2 rings while labron was in the league flopping in the east.

People now forgotten that Kobe wasn’t just an elite scorer but also and elite defensive player which contributed on why he was so great. He took it upon himself to guard/lock up the opposing team best player while dropping at least 30+. Now whenever you see Kobe in the media it’s always an analyst trying to downgrade his accomplishments.

I think Sunny’s two crucial points were that A: ‘00 era was slow-pace defense-heavy era which led to low scoring regardless of the “overrated handcheck”. B: Kobe’s all-around game that he could shot from way out of 3-point line, dribble pull up and go downhill. This guy might sound little too much, but he has got the point

Because the media and fans either loves re writing history or just don't like Kobe. they act like Kobe wasn't the best player in the league nor the face that long when literally in the 2000s everyone was considering him or Shaq the best throughout the decade, plus Lebron later the decade. He's always been around 5-7 on my all time list and now everyone acting like everyone is putting him top 5 because he died when literally a lot were calling him top 5 before then.
