It's interesting, Nash may be on a similar timeline to Jason Kidd. His first job was in Brooklyn and a bust, his second job he improved more in Milwaukee, but still couldn't break through. His 3rd job in Dallas he seems to have learned from the previous 2 jobs and is doing great. I think Nash may need another 10 years or so on the sidelines before he's a great coach. Hard to be great from the jump like Steve Kerr was.
