This is the power of the media. Kobe just said it like it was nothing. Like an old man striking at his friend for a friendly argument. And shaq strikes back also with the same implication. But the media made it a big of a deal.. Like we are having shaq vs. kobe part 231 so to speak.

Love what Stephen A is saying. Shaq and Kobe don't have any beef because throughout the entire time they had their differences on the Lakers not once did they ever say some shit behind each other's backs and if they said anything to a reporter on tv it's because they knew they already said it to each other's face beforehand. They handled their squabbles like real men and whenever they had a problem they said it to each other and got it out the way right then and there, then handled business on the court. They explained that in their one on one interview. That's why they respect each other now and lowkey always did even during the beef, because they respected each other enough then to handle their beef like real men and you can be friends with someone like that after maturing because you can trust them.

@@anthonybell9135 Shaq averaged 27 and 11 shooting 60% from the field that series. You call that getting locked up?
@ccmcdoug
@ccmcdoug 4 жыл бұрын
@@videoorgy right but Kobe "won them that game" only because Luke Walton stepped up, had 8 assists and was +18, the highest efficiency on their team that game. Kobe is highly responsible for why the lost the series. In games 4 & 5 Kobe scored 20 points, took 25 shots and was 32% FGP. Game 5, Kobe scores 24, takes 21 shots and is 33% FGP. Shaq on the other hand was way more efficient, game 4: 36 points, 76% FGP on only 21 shots. Game 5, 20 points on 13 shots and 54% FGP. So I'm not saying this tells the whole story of why they got beat but it tells most of it. The Lakers could've easily won games 4 & 5 if you give the ball to Shaq. Kobe will always be a great player but at that time I think he had a huge ego problem and so desperately wanted to be like MJ, his "mamba mentality or assassins mentality" ended up being a double-edged sword that cost his team that championship.
@anthonybell9135
@anthonybell9135 4 жыл бұрын
@@ccmcdoug yes, he had 2 maybe 3 good games and the rest below average. He even had a game he scored 14 points. To be the most dominate at that time and only scoring 14 in a finals game. Can't blame Kobe for every game when he doesn't have the ball 100 percent of the game.

Shaq literally said himself he didn’t have the work ethic lebron, Kobe and MJ had. He said his goal wasn’t to be the best, it was to be the most dominant. Which he was. It was in the rich eisen interview he did.

So it said that Kobe Bryn was always a boy.. never a grown man at those Times.. A grown can put emotions in himself.. Wich eventually make other people being a part of a problem he's dealing with ..and so the right solution will come.. instead of dealing it his own.. Arrogant homeboy only because he'd traint the hardest.. That feeling always comes also with the best.. Just the way how to deal with it.. Im just saying ofcourse i love him.. But anybody deserves a comment to be a better man..

Kobe has to remember Shaq is 6 years older! They were in a different physical position of their lives. He had a legendary orlando run before he even played with kobe. When Shaq won a ring with Miami, he was 34 years old. Kobe injured his achilles when he was 34, 35.

By the time I started watching the NBA again the run was over. The Lakers were getting bitch slapped by my Pistons. HA! But even in defeat, I could see Kobe was that deal. One of the best to ever do it.

To say anyone did not have Kobe's work ethic does not necessarily mean they were lazy. No one had Kobe's work ethic.

He's a Under achiever if he hit his free throw and in his younger years had a go to movie and Average 20 rebounds then you call him great hes the biggest man in the league. To be great you can't have any weakness that will hurt the team
He tried to save his parking spot, instant karma
