I love how excited Trump gets when he learns a thing. He wants to tell everyone because the thought never occurs to him that he's the only person on the planet who didn't know that thing.

@@shmuli9 I had a colleague make ONE statement like that once, along the lines of 'Your suggestion doesn't make sense to me, so it can't possibly make sense to any 'normal, average person'...' I really REALLY want a Mr. Rogers cardigan day. Can I suggest a segment of clips where Mr Rogers says comforting things? We need Mr Rogers more than ever now. He said a wonderful thing once about looking for the helpers in a time of crisis. I don't remember it exactly, but the idea is very moving and comforting; don't concentrate on the scary things, but instead focus on appreciating the people helping.

Please talk about us "essential" employees putting ourselves in the path of danger every day to sell you groceries or prescriptions or cash your check or sell you PET SUPPLIES for god's sake. Yesterday I had a lady LICK HER FINGERS before handing me money. I would love to see a late night host talk about those of us who are still working during this pandemic (making minimum wage in many cases). We're out and about in the thick of it dealing with people who don't realize/don't acknowledge the danger and think it's a media hoax. Yes we "still have a job" but to me and the 15 people that I employ, our health comes first. I'd rather take that unemployment check than deal with thousands in medical bills when I and my loved ones get sick. Just maybe....acknowledge that.

Absolutely. People working in grocery stores. pharmacies, pet supplies, and more, should be more than acknowledged; you should be lionized. The nation is dependent on your services, and every day we are grateful to you, every one. We should be doing our parts to help you stay well: wearing masks and NOT licking our fingers, touching our faces, or paying in cash.

I'm not American but I hope this will lead to raising the minimum wage. Anyone who is considered 'essential' should be able to support themselves on their wages.
