I honestly wish Stephen would've made other things, it would be pretty cool to see other series or films made by his creative brain.

He made another short film other than the green beret and wormholes that's lost (the one he mentions at the end)

Yeah I think it's also pretty modest of him to want to "give up" his creation to new writers and new ideas, even if the ideas weren't the best I can definitely respect him for trusting other creatives to run things, not a lot of creators have done that

It's always cool to see more or hear more on Stephen Hillenburg's work. He may be gone but he will always be Remembered by so, so, So many people and it's also cool to hear that at the time Paul was running the show, Stephen was still working on the show in some form with him and everybody else. I have heard he was still working on the show still, Just not as a show runner. But aside from that. It's nice to hear that he indeed was still on the show at the time this interview was made. This hole rumor of him leaving the show is finally put to rest. wonder how a lot of the SpunchBoomers are feeling now after knowing this information, Thanks to this interview being found now, Ehy?!

I hope one day I'll make a nice looking painting of Stephen holding the Sponge in his hands someday.

I love this so much. I am grateful that Stephen Hillenburg created SpongeBob SquarePants by combining his aquatic knowledge of marine biology and love of art and animation together. Stephen will always be remembered😍🥰💛💖💜💙🧽🌈🦄📱

He never left the show at all! So SpongeBob didn’t dipped in quality after the first movie!

Well just because Steve didn’t actually leave the show, it doesn’t mean that the quality of the show didn’t change. Like obviously when shows manage to stay on the air, they tend to kinda jump the shark at a certain point. With SpongeBob, Steve stepped down as showrunner after the first movie, and many people that were working on the show left to do other things during the movie’s production due to the hiatus on episode production. Which is why those middle seasons after the first movie were so disliked by many people.

Tom Wilson, you can recognize his voice from the characters he played on the show like Flats, the Strangler, and Patrick’s dad. He also played Biff in the Back to the Future franchise.
