I am almost finished reading Dr Sleep. I am really enjoying it.. Stephen King is My literary Idol and has been since I was 14 . I love how he makes me fall in love with the characters. as I get closer to the last chapter I don't want it to end. It's like saying good bye to an old friend.. He is a truly gifted writer. Someone mentioned he is running out of Ideas.. I laughed at that.. After all the best sellers he has had he is still going strong. No this was not because he was out of ideas this book was because his constant readers wondered "what happened to Danny" If you are a fan you understand this..

I love all of Stephen King's work, but I still consider his earlier novels (The Shining, Misery, Salem's Lot, Christine, Carrie, IT, Cujo etc.) to be his best.

folks, please research real deep. Stephen had a major drug/alcohol problem during the yrs of his best works. The Shining is about his own FATHER! He still is very private and still battles his demons-for real. He wrote his works based on his own true psychosis, paranoia, phobia's,etc while he was on drugs. He is lucky to be alive. Don't bash--LOVE!

I used to be a big supporter of internet trolls , especially after having been kicked a number of times for ´being one´. After reading a few comments here , however , I´m finally beginning to understand why people talk about ´internet trolls´. Hot damn. Free speech , as important as it is , can sometimes bring the worst out in the minds of those who truly know how to abuse it........

@Cyproduction Stephen King is an author, he writes books, this is a sequel to the book. Just in case you missed the several parts of the video where that is mentioned like "I wrote a book in the 70s called The Shining" or "The book is almost done." If and when it gets adapted into a movie, if it ends up being crap that will be the fault of the people who make the movie, not that of Stephen King. Unless of course the book is crap which hopefully is not the case.

Danny lived on. I've always thought more about Charlie from Fire Starter. Whatever happened to her. King hinted that Charlie was armageddon wrapped up in a cute little girl package. King didn't want to explore what happen to Charlie because it was either her, or us. Say what you will, but King loved little Charlie, and he didn't want her to be a mass murder, or dead.

Her imagination certainly rivals anything King created, you have to give her that.

That's great that King did a shining sequel with vampires. So these "power-obsorbing" vamps are the same kind of vampires from the Dark Tower universe, or not? (I have not read Wolves of Calla yet, so I haven't seen the vampire mythology.)

I love American Vampire!! Absolutely love it. Hates redheads? Naaah.......´fascist´? Have you asked him?

@metal1mercenarie I know he writes books, which a lot of them are very good (I happen to read them) but I also know how Hollywood is and they will create a movie out of it 100% which will be crap. When I see the crap they produce these days... I have no doubt that he will create a good book out of it, I'm just afraid of Hollywood >

No fucking way. Seriously, the Shining is one of the best movies created... and he wants it to be overshadowed by a crappy sequel... you know it's gonna be crappy like every other sequel movie created in this century. And they wonder why people pirate movies so much... DURRR NOBODY WANTS TO BUY CRAPPY MOVIES! just great x_x'

And sorry news for you and his children are healthy grown ups and one of them is a very famous budding and talented writer. By the way, are you a rejected school outcast? Your English seems terrible.
