Mike Hallett did help him out a lot in that one. That made me realise how much it meant to win one of the big tournaments, so few players achieve that. Jimmy White cracked under the pressure of winning the world championships, Willie Thorne missed an easy blue, when he had a great chance to win the UK. The multiple winners, often get a lot of help from their opponents.

I'm so glad Stephen has this channel. The videos have been great but there's the other side of me thinking while watching him play that thinks he could still do well and win tournaments. But he doesn't like the practice and I completely understand. The amount of time you need to practice at this game is a lot. At least for most people besides Ronnie. Lol. But just watching Stephen play each video, sure he's rusty a bit but those missed shots are just lack of practice. I can completely understand where he's coming from though. He had that drive and determination that was just off the charts. I would have been so intimidated playing against him back in the day. I'd love to see him focus again and play but that is just a huge undertaking I think that a lot of people don't understand. But instead I will enjoy the videos like I have been and I could only hope to get to play against him in a friendly match some day. I'm one of the very rare Americans who loves snooker. I could make a whole series on how and why Americans don't like snooker. I would love to talk about that on Stephens channel. It would be an interesting video and shocking about the lack of snooker players here and why Americans don't like snooker. its terrible.

GREAT IDEA..... Full size table, in an empty room, green screen surrounding the table, a new series, Stephen Hendry KZbin Cup final!! Hendry vs invited pro player, green screen to recreate a final setting at crucible, with intros and referee, Players suited and booted. It would be a makeshift final match , I would love to see this.❤

That could well be one of the most surreal snooker experiences ever… “Nice day up the club luv?” “Aye, no bad. Had to wait to get on though, couple of World Champions were having a best of 5 and it only went to a final frame” “Oh…that’s nice luv. Oh, your dinner’s in the dog by the way!”

What a joy to watch! Love the sarcasm. :) Is it just me or is Mark's cue clinking? Nah, it definitely is.

That’s the sound of the extremely hard tip he likes to use.

@ I didn’t know that. Not sure I could get used to it. Did a quick search and it seems you’re right. Wondering still though why that makes a metallic clink sound. Just a curiosity and no reason to poison this chat with my naivety. 👍

@@limeypride no naivety about that question! I use a pretty hard tip (Talisman Black) - which is still not as hard as his, and I love it. But it’s all down to personal preference really…
