The responses of desire are odd timed, the inability to accept it's only occurring in one direction, the wanted invasion of privacy to know the nonresponding targets thoughts/patterns.. Says the person is thinking childishly. Really one can have a sexual life right in front of the desiring person and they're still thinking..they're doing that for me. Really. I mean..please. Ignoring the fact the target is also gay. Friendship or not. How could desiring person not understand it. ..Stuck in delusion. Staying drunk. Both? 5 years, it was awful. In the case Im noting. It was more an excuse( unrequited love) to be an involved( infiltrating) enemy, than a pursuit for love. It was sick. Oversimplifying summary..get a life.

I am studying the 8 different types of love, as Sternberg (1985) implies. I am thankful for this video. I think it's interesting that one can know that there can be different types of love they experience, in terms with interdependency. Honestly, my favorite, of the 8, is companionate love. I think that is a given, because with that love, you can establish firm relationships with your friends, family, and a significant other.

@Theohybrid7 жыл бұрын
It reminds me of the 4 Loves, Agape (unconditional), Storge (Family) Philia (Brotherly/Friendly), and Eros (Romantic) This and the Triangle diagram of love isn't saying anything new though. Although I like the results and pairing. Agape love or God's love is hardest for the reason of itself. It's a love that exists in and of itself. That's hard to maintain for selfish creatures like ourselves. Consummate Love is probably hardest because Commitment, Passion, and Intimacy together are all outside of ourselves. They require love for nothing in return. That's hard in a society for instant gratification and even before because we have selfish hearts whether selfish feeling now or later. It still comes up in want like to pay back a debt. It's just singing naturally hard-wired. We want the keys to happiness but can't really handle it in and of ourselves. Its something that only exists outside the human experience and best expressed as Agape love , in which i will suggest is of and from God and His character for you as described and expressed in the Bible. Example: Love others as you would yourself: The Golden Rule. "Forgive as you have been forgiven. " If you hate your brother and say "you fool" you are guilty of murder. You shall not look with lust upon a woman. 1 Corinthians 13: The love Chapter Love is patient, kind, it isn't boastful, nor proud (doesn't think itself any higher than one should) , nor forces it's way. (It respects boundaries), It believes all things, it trusts all things said from the one they love. I suggest reading that chapter if anything. All of these things are OUTSIDE of us. Seeking the good of the other while not shaming or slandering but exercising compassion and love when correcting and being willing to sacrifice themselves and their own time, efforts, energy, while being wise and wishing the good of the other. God bless!!!

What I appreciate about this is it gives us some concrete areas to work toward - developing all three aspects of love. What I've experienced in my marriage is the commitment because of the sake of principle and to please societal expectations without the passion or intimacy from either partner. This was helpful to me.

WARNING! CRINGEY COMMENT! READ AT OWN RISK! Thank you all working on this channel! Before I started watching you I was really confused about what was wrong with me. Like I've known I had ADHD since 2012 and I did suspect depression 2015 (My doctor confirmed the ADHD 2012 before I even knew what it was and depression 2016 after dealing with it a year) but I felt like there was something more. I wasnt like the others I still arent. Then I started watching your videos about being extrovert, introvert and ambivert and I realized that I felt that way because most of the other people are extroverts but me, I am ambivert (I am more introverted than extroverted tho but I still wouldnt say Im introverted). You help me understand myself and others.. And on top of that entertaining me. So thank you so much, I really mean it.

I disagree with his explaination, because i think "commitment" like marriage is not a part of a relationship, but the result of one. I see the triangular seperated in 1) love and feelings 2) friendship and understanding 3) passion and attraction. By any mixture of those, a relationship with commitment is a possible result, but not a necessary outcome. The type of nonlove that way can even exist in arranged marriages, if the result is forced before task. Therefore nonlove in arranged marriages equals bussines relationships with people you have nothing in common with.
@TheCuteChikorita7 жыл бұрын
Darth Angral !!! Agreed!
@cladius22927 жыл бұрын
Darth Angral "Commitment" is, in my opinion, a form of self Love. It takes a level of integrity to have a commitment to and with anything. Especially with the instant gratification driven society that is being created around us. To commit to a goal is to truly love the goal? Absolutely Not! It is to love the integrity of such. Therefore to "commitment love" is merely loving of oneself to respect the integrity of the "relationship.
@hanimay68437 жыл бұрын
I disagree. You should make a commitment every time you enter a monogamous relationship. If you're not commited since the beginning and are still looking around what's the point of being in a relationship to begin with?

@maewillow56807 жыл бұрын
I think key to any relationship is communication. It context of this theory it would be part of intimacy and commitment but I think most of problems in relationships can be solved by simply talking - saying how they feel, what they need and want and listening to one another. luck if talking causes most luck of intimacy and is sign of luck of commitment

Don’t let this discourage you from pursuing a relationship. While it may not be permanent, that doesnt stop you from enjoying what you have while you still have it. Love is a wonderful thing, and you should try to enjoy it in the moment and not worry so much about the future. The future will come as the present, eventually. Until then, just absorb the happiness that love brings. If it doesn’t bring you happiness, then maybe that person isnt right for you. 💕

There is some thing beyond intimacy , passion and commitment and that is a pure relation in which There is no expectations from the partner completely unconditional sheer love and not attached . Commitment , intimacy follows this kind of behaviour . Even if one partner practices it the partner naturally starts reciprocating . This is how the Rishi’s and muni ‘s of India be in marital life’s . As long as there are Conditions of intimacy , passion and commitment true relationship doesn’t exist . True relationship is built on truth of unconditionally . Any relation if based on any condition , one day it has to violate . Hence the ideal yet challenging ( since self interest is given priority over others interest ) relationship is both coming together and set 0 expectations and each person is concerned for others needs , wishing good and beneficial . All the rest follows .

Perception includes vision, hearing and proprioception, or the awareness of where your limbs are in space. There may be developmental delays in some areas but heightened sensitivities or abilities in others. I Think that love is a sense of loss and gain for someone when they are in a relationship. this can be stuff like feeling sympathy or empathy for someone when they have some thing happen to them. and also that you care for their general well being. if you put this in action when someone is happy or gained something you will also feel happy or feel like you gained something. but when they lose something you can feel loss as well as if it were your own or at least you care. the sense of loss and gain in a relationship can affect you in many ways even in pleasure and passion or even coveting there must be something to gain and receive and something to give this is all so that some one may experience gain. the commitment is categorized in the care for as long as you care there will be a sense of love but when you lose care there is no sense of love. some may experience gain and loss but if they don't care about it it would not be categorized as love. it would make sense what i am going on a bout. in relation ship where loss is only a thing there would be negative emotions that would damage them and make then have a loss of care due to its intensity or occurrence over time in accumulation. this will cause toleration to be intolerable making causing you to not care anymore. But this can be fixed as long as you care there is reality involved and as long as you know gain and loss and care you can continue your live as normal people. as long as you can care for someone or something and try to protect them or give to some one or some thing as something to work towards. you will in a sense experience love in the form of accumulation. but if you give to someone and do not view it as your own gain and accumulation then things can go very wrong. you will be frustrated or confused over what you are doing and you are not want to work towards something that you deem not worthy of your attention. this can lead to neglect and even a empty feeling when some one that you once cared about got something or loss something. the simplest thing to know love is to care. love with out the knowledge of loss and gain or at least the sense of it can be very confusing. the simple way to fix this is knowledge of the person and thing you care about what is considered loss and gain for them and most importantly do you care?

How about Faithfully Spiritual Ágape Love Than In-self Stem About Love Projim …
@laurapavlou-mudie86856 жыл бұрын
I imagine that 'love' in the sense of 'agape', is the result of an intention to love, whatever else is going on in terms of commitment, passion and/or intimacy. I don't imagine that proximity to the object of one's affections is necessary for an individual to care deeply about another/others, although it must help to support and foster attachment. I'd question the notion that attachment is necessary for love/agape to thrive. Much depends on the nature of the relationship between people. The Greeks describe these relationships beautifully, in my opinion.

Is there any way to develop more passion in a relationship that has strong intimacy and commitment?

Relationships can get very complicated to the point where resentment and hate and disappointment start to dominate the other feelings and it has nothing to do with what you.with materialistic matters whatsoever

Did anyone else notice that the video says that, according to Sternberg, there are 6 forms of love, but then the video went on to list 8?

They also mention that there are 6 forms of love a second time after listing the 8.

Willow4526 Myer and Briggs had their scientific claims to back up their personality theory, so technically it's not "fake" science.

I thought I loved someone. When I saw her true person, I realized I got myself into a dangerous situation. I love her with those components in the video, but she doesn’t. I’m starting to believe love doesn’t exist. Or love is just a fantasy birthed by little kid books. Or misguided chemicals in the brain. Something meant to drag us down and distract us from things that could be worth more. I’ve seen movies where people committed suicid because of heartbreak. After my heartbreaks, I began to become a scary and dangerous person. Why are we all so blind by love?

CatpuccinoMug bcos love is a powerful force people don't know how to control and can be unaware of its control over them and there actions. Just like powe itself love is just as equally a force that could destroy the world itself.

Sees the "Have you ever fallen in love?" thing. Clicks yes. Sees results. (Laughs) "30% clicked no!"

My friendships are full of commitment.

I had to talk about this in class. It's a shame that i tried to explain a friend of mine (girl) what I felt using this, and misunderstood everything thinking that I was trying to be her boyfriend, instead of a close friend (commitment + intimacy). Now I lost who was my best friend. Things that happen...
