In addition to the importance of this video having a person of color play a non-straight person, it is also important to highlight that non-heterosexual couples goes through troubles like anyone else. Steve Grand can sing. When you hear of a new "gay" artist, you check out their music because they are gay and you want to support "family" and then you discover they are tone deaf or they can't piece together three measures of music into anything which makes audible sense. Steve Grand can sing and the fact you don't have to work to look at him is just a bonus.
