@@LPjunemark there has been a vast improvement in the Kings since he took over. They’re young and getting better. Atkinson is in charge of the defense now. How is GS looking? He’s not known for defense. How many in game adjustments do you see? Especially in the games against Miami & Dallas. I watched both teams run the same play over and over and over.

Andrew Wiggins regressing dindt help eather, he was the second best player in their championship run but the warriors relegate him to be the 3rd or 4th option you can see that it's hard for him to take over as he doesn't have enough shots to get in ritm.

They choked 5 gms away. That's what makes it seem like they are broken. 2 gms vs OKC (that Chet ridiculous buzzer 3 to bring it to OT and Dray's stupid foul to get him 3 fts to tie the game), that Clippers game where PG hit a game-winner too after they led by double digits almost all game, and last night against Denver and that Kings game after another ridiculous shot by Monk over great defense by Wiggs. You could say that they in shambles but one also could say they've been extremely unlucky that they've lost so many gms from good winning position and seem to be hit by magical shots after magical shots in the last seconds of the game. It's not like they've been blown out in all those games either. They need to tighten up, forget those stupid losses, Curry needs to stop playing hero ball when all they need to do to keep those leads is trying to get easy baskets instead of trying to impress with his 3s, and Kerr needs to be more sensitive in detecting the situations, his subs at the critical moments of the game this season have been dubious at best. Plus they need Draymond (the un-psychopath one) and GPII back as they are their 2 best defenders.

@@glcsander According to the Nuggets game, the Warriors would be a contender. They are missing Dray and GP2, and they lead the current champions by 18 points at the start of the 4th quarter. The Warriors are a notch below .500, but the West is also flat as a plain. Steve Kerr is a pathetic coach. But the Warriors as a team are doing alright already. But to be a solid contender, they are two players short. They need somebody, who can defend centers. And they either need a scorer, or a real coach. Steph needs to be benched in the clutch, so either the new real coach comes up with a play, or their new scorer takes over.

They're a threat outside so Bigs are forced come out of the paint to defend, leaving space to drive and cut. That's why GS has been so good all these yrs. The league has caught up bc the kids now are fast, big, shoot 3s and can pass like guards. Look at the new breed of bigs - Jokic, Embiid, Wemba, Chet etc

@AllStarKydd
@AllStarKydd 5 ай бұрын
When you’re up 18 with 6 minutes left in the game, you don’t continue shooting 3s. End of game management is running set offensive schemes, milking the clock and getting to the free throw line. It’s not waiting till there’s 5 secs on the shot clock to then shoot a 3. Missed 3s create long rebounds which leads to more fast breaks and transition buckets and fouls for the opponent. Why anyone would want to continue chucking 3s at the end of a game, when they already have a significant lead is beyond me. If that continues to occur, that’s at the fault of bad coaching. Even if it’s Steph, he needs to minimize shooting 3s at end of games when they have very significant leads. He should be attacking the paint, forcing the other team to play defense (which we know the majority of teams don’t do soundly these days) and putting pressure on the referees to blow the whistle. Even with the horrible whistle the dubs get, they still just need to continue putting pressure on that rim at the end of games. End of game line up as of today (w/Dray, CP3 and GPII currently n/a) should be Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Kuminga & TJD. All this talk about Wiggins’ & Kuminga’s redundancy when on the floor together and their +/- together not being the best, I can give two shits about. This is the regular szn, the time to work out that chemistry on the floor together. They’re champions, they’re talented, so they need to figure it the fuck out cus they need to be on the court together. Their length, their rim pressure, TJDs length and verticality, alongside Steph and Klay’s gravity and shooting capabilities especially at the FT line, is why this line up needs more reps together especially at the end of games

Kerr didn’t forget how to coach, he just can’t coach a team that isn’t ready made. How much young talent have they had to trade because he couldn’t develop them? We’re going to get to see if he can really coach in a couple of years when Steph is the only consistent scorer they have. But he’ll retire before he exposes himself like that. Unless he goes to another team Mark Jackson built up first.

My only problem with the whole conversation is if you back and watch the game, you realize that kerr was venting about THAT game. Even though he spoke about it as though it's all the time, THIS particular game WAS a real problem. A few times, they gave shooting fouls while not in the penalty and not even close to the act of shooting. Other times, the players made sure not to make contact at all (no foul). And the refs aren't going to review or replay those calls because they don't have to. Honestly, it has happened in other games, and they have chosen not to challenge. When no one actually makes any sort of contact, it makes you question if the refs are rigging the game.

I want to bet that this is not how the core of Draymond, Steph, and Klay will end their last chapter. They're clearly still motivated to win and just have to figure things out, along with management and the coaches. However, they need to make some moves involving Wiggins, CP3, and Looney to bring in someone with some size that can also stretch the floor.

Nah... They used to go 10-11 deep. Now they're 3 or 4 deep. Their bench used to be better than most starting 5's on 95% of the other teams. And they had enforcers. Now they've got Steph. That's it.
@LadyVirgilia
@LadyVirgilia 5 ай бұрын
you clearly don't watch the games this year, neither do you realize this season the Warrior's bench players are outscoring other team's benches by 30-40 points a game. This is arguably the deepest bench Steph has ever played with. It's their old veteran players (including their vet coach Kerr) that's completely tanking their season. Wiggs, Dray, and Kerr. Even Steph because he's not demanding anything change in the Front Office or coaching staff. Apparently Klay is out of his negative energy funk... and he did well last night, but we'll have to see how that translates as the season goes on. This past Nuggets game Kuminga was the 2nd best player. Got Murray in foul trouble all game that Malone had to sit him out almost all 3rd quarter. And then what does Kerr do? Not play Kuminga all 4th quarter while playing Looney of all people, allowing Murray to help his team get back from 18 points down, meanwhile Dubs had two non-shooters on the floor letting the Nuggets swarm Curry. We couldn't score anything that last 6 minute stretch. Awful coaching from Kerr

@@LadyVirgilia Nah... They're lacking the size and toughness they used to have. David West, Zaza Pachulia, Bogut. David Lee. Even JaVele McGee had more toughness in him. Draymond didn't have to be a big man. He's only 6'7"- 6'8". Iggy was an All-star. 2 way superstar Shaun Livingston was a 6'7" all star point Guard. All-Star on both sides of the ball. KD was a 7' small forward/2 guard. Draymond tries to be the enforcer. But against real bigs. He just can't compete.

The league wants warriors especially along with the league to shoot more threes in general. But teams like Denver play outside and inside. So getting foul calls their offense is design for them to get foul calls in all key moments.

The officiating is one of Adam Silver several failures, but Kerr had the wrong timing, to bring it up after a game like this. Jokic finally was awarded more than 10 free throws. He's way behind the top in free throws for the season, and he's one of the few actually posting up. But yeah, the officiating has drifted far away from the actual rule-book. There's more unwritten rules now, than actual rules.

Its wishful thinking but... I think to improve defense around the league you'll having to take fouling out, out of the rule book. Then players will dig deeper on that end of the floor without having to worry about losing minutes. That way we'll see stars guarding stars etc... 😅 my opinion

Mark Jackson gave Steph and Klay the confidence to be the greatest shooters ever by giving them the biggest green light ever and Kerr got them all to buy into ball movement. Neither of them are really great coaches but they were both important to the Warriors success.
