The Marvel movies have always had varying quality. The first Thor was okay but not amazing. Iron Man 2 was meh. Thor 2 was... yeah. Age of Ultron was a whiff. Feels like everyone is remembering the highs of the infinity saga without remembering the turkeys and comparing what's come out lately to that. Guarantee you a decade from now people are going to be having conversations about whatever the current MCU stuff is and wondering why we can't have more stuff like Loki or Shang Chi or Guardians 3.

Two major issues: 1 - exacerbating plot lines, there’s only so much they can do for each plot line before it becomes more ridiculous. If they had put more spacing between each project, they would probably still have decently strong plots now. 2 - Disney. A kids production company buying out a major action company. Recipe for shitty underdeveloped writing. There’s obviously more causes but those two are the most significant in my opinion

That's not the way I took it at all, I think at this point she's still discovering her powers, if she knew her full capabilities, she would have never fled in the first place and murked them both when Vision was first stabbed, that look she gave (imo) was more of "I have no choice but to fight now that we're trapped", you can clearly see how relieved both Wanda and Vision were when Cap showed up. 🤔

When I first saw this in theater, the audience's reaction was quite remarkable. Never mind that he was an outlaw who had screwed the pooch in his last movie outing, or that he wasn't anywhere near the most powerful of the Avengers -- people were still going, "Oh, thank God! CAPTAIN AMERICA's here! Everything will be all right!" Which is a pretty compliment both for Chris Evans' performance and for his character's stature as the Big Good of the Marvel Universe.
