Steve Vai is one of the few men in the world who have reached the level of being called GUITAR GOD.! His contribution to the world of guitarists is so great that it has served as a great influence for many. His style, way of playing, staging, the way he makes love to the guitar is morbidly excellent and wonderful.

As debatable as it may be, Steve Vai is one of the very few guitarists on this planet that can actually carry the title of "the best guitar player of the world". Again, it can be debated, but never discarded, because he earns every merit to ostent that title.

A curious fact: Steve was the first artist to bring 7-string guitars with Ibanez, the Ibanez Universe, he used them a lot in the 80s with Whitesnake, and it is said that they were going to take them out of the market, Because they weren't making much money, Ibanez was going to discontinue them, due to the arrival of Grunge in the 90s but Steve told them "wait a while longer" and it wasn't until the late 90s And at the beginning of the 2000s Nu Metal arrived, and bands like Korn, Fear Factory, Deftones, among others, opted for these 7-string Ibanez Universe, And thanks to that, Nu Metal has that characteristic sound, creating a trend with 7-string guitars and bringing a lot of profits to the Ibanez brand, all thanks to Mr. Vai

Steve has been a huge influence on me, I had the pleasure of meeting him in person in June 2023 at a Meet & Greet, he signed one of his Signature pedals for me (morley Wah "Bad Horsie 2" which sounds at minute 9:45), and a music theory book of his own

Steve is very charismatic, which is one of the things that sets him apart from so many other guitar virtuosos. But what is crazy is someone at his level of playing is also one of the most humble and approachable people out there. He is also a master musician. He has wrote orchestral scores and can sit and write out a score of music just off the top of his head without playing it on an instrument first. He started out transcribing Frank Zappa pieces just by listening to them by ear. The guy is incredible. He also has a great sense of humor.

If you watch interviews of Steve he talks about how he would stand in front of the mirror and practice how his fingers move and looked as he played. He’s a true master of his craft.

First time seeing Steve Vai? Man is a total living legend. The Paganini of the guitar. He cut his teeth playing with Zappa, who credited him with "Stunt Guitar". Complements didn't come easily from Frank Zappa. Now, if you haven't seen it, it's time for you to witness another legend: Stevie Ray Vaughn, playing 'Texas Flood' live at the El Mocambo. That one'll melt yer face off! 🤯

In the dark times known as the 80's and 90's... guitar was learned with photocopied sheet music of dubious quality... VHS tapes and later DVDs even appeared... with this two virtuoso guitarists stood out who influenced and taught several famous rock guitarists... one was Joe Satriani and the other Steve Vai... who released video tutorials in those years. Steve Vai appears in the 1986 film "Crossroads" its plot is about the myth of Robert Johnson and his deal with the arrow tail to be the best bluesman... here a guitarist from the 80's seeks the same... Vai plays the antagonist guitarist and the main one in the close-ups of the main guitar.

We're talking Steve Vai here!!!! He's one of the guitar GODS, girl! His whole body is an instrument. Steve told a story at one of his shows on how he was asked by a fan at a gig ones if she could sit on his amp when he played his song "Bad Horsie"... You'll understand ones you hear the song (got some nice vibrations there I guess 😆). Also check out the guitar battle at the end of the movie "Crossroads" Steve got so much great songs. Pliz react to more! Be safe

I don't really like shredder guitarists, but Steve Vai is unique. Whenever I listen to him, I get emotional. The way he plays the notes on his guitar neck is tremendous. Could you have a reaction to Matteo Mancuso? He is a phenomenal Italian guitarist - one of the best currently.

Steve Vai is one of the absolute masters of guitar playing. Not many are that influential in that field, because there are many great guitar players out. Can recommend you "Knappsack", he played the whole song with one arm. He got injured and need operation on his other arm, so he arranged the whole song to honor is doctor that helped him getting back(doctor was german so he took a silly german title for the song). Other song you could appriciate is Dream Theater - Under the glass moon. Great singing AND guitar play was one of the most played guitar solos in that era. John Petrucci is a beast at guitar playing. Plz dont take new versions, LaBries voice now is....questionable. Old stuff from in japan is the best era from Dream Theater.

So if "baby making music" was succesful you could listen to "For the love of god" to judge whether the result is to be baptized or if the result reaches school, listen to "The audience is listening" ;-)
