i was much healthier when I was a vegetarian, and had more energy than any meat eaters. even moreso today, when ALL meat (etc) is poisoned 500 ways by greedy capitalists.

Kirk was never the most technically proficient player, but in the 80's he did have some killer solos (Damage inc included). He influenced a lot of people to play guitar.

Hell ya. Bro Kirk is a legend his performances on RTL, MoP, AJFA, TBA and my favorite Kirk solos are on Death Magnetic!

@@gbirdo4718 Oh god, Death Magnetic? Did we listen to the same record...? I think his solos on that one are some of the worst he's ever done, so sloppy, drowned out with wah and unimaginative... Not a patch on his stuff through to the Black Album. The best thing about Kirk's early solos are the melodies and patterns, which are so memorable you can probably hum most of them, even if you haven't heard them in a while. That's my test for a good solo... I can't do that at all with Death Magnetic, outside of The Day That Never Comes.

He probably has the worst "professional" vibrato ever. Having said that, his solos in "Fade to black", "One", "Sanitarium" and "unforgiven" are almost seminar level...Definately an influence fr me to pick up the guitar back in 88'....

He definitely has not the best technique, I almost dont like any of his solos today. BUT, he was an early influence for me, and when i was 12 i just wanted to be like him. Though my music path has taken me away from his sound, i acknowledge him as an early influence and a figure to be respected

Love Kiko's videos- huge fan. It's interesting for me how Kirk Hammet is criticised for his playing, I'm also critical of his bending, vibrato and general intonation BUT I will say that his solos on the classics - MOP, one and others are perfect for the song and I couldn't imagine them being different. I also hugely respect Kirk for surviving decades of having to deal with James and Lars personality/ relational conflicts.

I have to say this, I'm a fan of you since "Endangered Species, etc" but 12:07 in my opinion, it also figure out about how Hetfield & Hammet doing into their songs. even Hammet ever said, he love if his song can be played by anybody because of it's easy. Everyone can messed up with Unforgiven solo technically with thousand notes, but are they increase the original feeling?

Eu sou vegano desde 2015, antes eu era ovo lacto vegetariano, fiz essa mudança pelos animais, pois não acho justo toda exploração, dor e morte que a humanidade pratica sobre vidas inocentes e puras! Com o tempo eu vi que minha mudança contribuía com o planeta e com a minha saúde também, que no caso, melhorou 100%, parte física, mental e emocional! No começo pode ser difícil um pouco dependendo da pessoa, mas dando uma boa pesquisada e caindo de cabeça, conhecendo mais sobre os alimentos, seus valores nutricionais, focando em alimentos simples, o básico do básico, vai clareando a mente e ficando mais tranquilo! A chave é a mente, ou dominamos ela ou ela nos domina. Nice to hear about your vegetarianism. I notice though that your signature guitar uses abalone, so isn't vegetarian-friendly. Quite a few players (like Vai as it happens) and guitar builders/sellers are vegetarian or vegan, but their instruments aren't (abalone, bone nut, hide glue, etc.)
