This year I was unlucky enough to get a teacher who didn’t care abt what he was teaching at all, and as a result I’ve had basically nothing to help me for this exam or the class all year, but luckily I found your resources and I am SOO glad I did. The way you explain such vast and complex concepts in such a simplified, easy to consume way has been absolutely live saving. With my teacher I never remembered a thing he said, but it’s the opposite with your channel & I’m absorbing everything because the way you explain it just makes it all make sense. I’ve been super worried all year about how my AP exam would turn out and as I’ve been reviewing these I’ve been starting to think I may actually do well. Thanks so much for all the work you put into these. It’s had an amazing effect on my hopes for the class and I’m so glad I found my way here

I normally don't comment on videos but I have to say I was shocked when I saw your following, sir. 409mil is an impressive number, but I would've thought u had reached your millions by now. All of the ap teachers at my school talk about u within the first week of class. When we have to study for tests, your videos are the ones linked. What you do in this channel is truly life-changing and you might not realize the impact you have on my gen. Last school quarter I got stuck in Unit 1 of AP World, ik not a good start hahaha. I was so unprepared for that test but, the night before, at like 9pm I binged watched all of your videos on the unit and took very crappy notes. I ended up getting a 76%, which, under normal circumstances would've made me cry but, I would argue a 76% solely based on watching a couple of videos the night before without any previous knowledge of the test material, is impressive, and it was all thanks to you, sir. I ended up with a high A at the end of the quarter so...happy ending ig hahaha. I just wanted to share my story to maybe motivate you to keep doing what you do, sir. We are all human and giving up might seem like the easy way out sometimes. I truly appreciate your work and one of my biggest fears is you ending this channel before I am done w\ AP World and APUSH hahaha. Anyways, I hope all of you guys have a wonderful rest of your day or night.

Or the religions syncretized (religions mixed together and produced something new) Example Buddhism met Daoist beliefs -> Zen Buddhism (aka Chan Buddhism) Confucian scholar gentry in Song opposed Neo Confucianism fusion of rational thought with Doaist beliefs and Buddhist beliefs that originated in China but soon spread to Korea and Japan. Muslim Merchants Share about allah and prophet muhammad Birth of swahili language Muslims met Bantu speaking Africans and became believers in Islam Bantu language and Arabic made Swahili Technology Create exams to study for medicine Ships -lateen ship with triangular sail Stern post rudder Magnetic compass and astrolabe Cultural conquese Hangzhou, china is metropolitan city Great art and poetry flourished Travelers: marco polo, left home from Venice and traveled for many years among the Chinese, arrived at court of Kublai Khan, convinced Polo to become ambassador of China for 17 years, went home but captured in jail and told stories in jail Ibn battuta, traveled where Islam is, pilgraimange to Mecca and Persia, East African coast, India, Mali, Spain, and elsewhere, kept a journal and subsequent publication of those journals had a similar effect on the Muslim population as the writings of Marco Polo had on the Europeans.

Hey Mr. Heimler, I hope you see this because I have a question. What do you mean at 0:31 when you say the spread of religion along trade routes provided a "justification for the leadership"? I thought this was talking about the spread of religion with merchants, not conquests.
