An incredible game with two great teams, ipswich played so well in the game, they had really good players from paul cooper, terry butcher, gates etc etc, zondervans finish was perfection...but we had character then...and stuck at it when it seemed lost...when derek mpuntfield equalised...i dont think ill ever ever forget it...and just look at the club now 😔😖😥

What a side - despite the years of Liverpool dominance I took it for granted for nearly four years until the realization that Harvey was no Paisley or Fagan. What memories - thankyou Howard. A few more points from that game. A single bad challenge resulting in a sending off, rare for them days. How did Ipswich get relegated? So many good players. Finally, what a commentator Barry Davies was, miles ahead of Motson.

Steve McCall, such an underrated defender. That was a proper old school sliding tackle on a dodgy surface (and sending off)

We haven't reached the 6th round of the FA cup since 1993. What Sad times these are! This and a whole catalogue of unwanted records being beaten year after year, while the ownership of Marcus Evans is allowed to send us further and further into the abyss!

Its not right.. as an evertonian i always dreaded playing ipswich town as they were so hard to beat plus they had quality players and great style...sad to see them, Qpr, sunderland, boro etc in lower leagues...doesnt seem right
