He talked about zen, but his energy was funny, not to much respecfull about this master, asks questions just for the show etc…steven had put the guy on the water…not hurt anybody.next time dont make a show, ans think about your own question…the answer was emerge yourself into the zen

I don't think Zen is about violence. It's more about the universe doing suprising and unexpected things, so it's a good thing to train your mind to live absolutely in the moment.

@@annakessler9372 What’s hilarious about this is that there’s a Zen story about a student who asks a teacher “What is the essence of Zen ?” The teacher without hesitation throws the student into the body of water they were standing by. The student then became enlightened. This is an example of a Zen Koan which is an essential practice of studying Zen.

@@YearsOVDecay1 I'm like the attorney Jacob, I am a real person. And I'm just a comedy nerd. I read comedy books, I've taken a college class in comedy, and I fucking love it. What I've noticed is a lot of comedy is repeated, so when you get something unique like this, it's really cool. I think I was also stoned when I wrote this.

Well- as someone who was a Zen monk for almost 10 years, the guy asked and Seagal - to his great credit- showed him directly. In formal Zen training, immediate demonstrations are required, not clever, wordy pablum. He asked for the essence of Zen and he immediately got shown directly exactly what it is. I doubt he has any idea of what happened to him, but I have a deep respect for Steven Seagal’s depth of understanding, as his demonstration was perfect! And he definitely passed that koan!

I'm actually surprised Steven Seagal was nice about this and actually spoke to the guy and answered all his questions. The toss at the end was probably Steven mucking around and maybe was even planned. The "interviewer" here is actually famous comedian/actor Jack Whitehall so don't be surprised if this all pre-planned
