I like the idea of this AU’s Chrystal gems being a lot more chaotic and unorganized than the originals, since jasper is definetely not the calm, collected leader garnet was.

I think the gems here should also have different struggles due to their circumstances in the alternate universe. For example Like Jasper was born perfect soldier and struggles to find meaning outside of that. And feels insecure (like Amethyst) Being a mom/aunt figure to Steven and softening up in him helps her find that meaning. Jasper loved Pink diamond and knew the truth of her shattering and hates Greg for taking Rose away from her and secretly hated Steven at first. But learned that he is his own gem and none of this was his fault but her diamond's own decision. Lapis did not go through the process of being trapped in a mirror. Therefore, she is way happier in this universe. Unfortunately, because she lived a happy life she is not nearly as powerful as our original Lapis. She is learning to appreciate life as well as be serious when it comes to battle. As well as showing restraint when her emotions get out of hand. She is the big teen sister to Steven. Peridot was born not with a lot of power so she gravitate towards protecting Steven with her knowledge which she thinks that's all she is good for. She goes overboard with shielding him and often clashes with Lapis's fun and cheeky personality. But learns to take a break and that Steven in strong enough to take care of himself. And so can she without her enhances. Gem trapped in a mirror is Amethyst she is more powerful than the one we have even might rival Jasper but not Lapis. She forms a bound with Steven for freeing her This universe Pearl was the one they captured before she went to check on the cluster since there was no use for her on earth. She grows to love it thanks to Steven and at first Amethyst and her hate each other but they form a friendship. Instead of watching soaps, She likes knitting and solving puzzles later with Amethyst as well as calling people thunder head and called blue diamond one during the diamond communication hub Garnet here is a fusion made to hate Rose Quartz for shattering their diamond and would fuse at any moment to try and defeat anyone or gem. But when Steven questions their toxicity with their own fusion they try to fuse with Amethyst to become stronger but it's a toxic fusion. Because Amethyst doesn't want to be left alone. They fail and get bubbled due to shock that Steven "Rose" doesn't remember Pink diamond

Sounds cool, tho I feel like pearl would be more of a puppet master sending minions like robots after them, instead of the slightly more confrontational threat that peridot was. As a home world pearl her actively fighting would be borderline illegal.

People forget that Peridot's limb enhancers aren't part of her body and besides, this type of technology was created in Era 2 so as not to waste gems that were born with a defect, since Homeworld was running out of resources.

Iirc, we don’t actually see any confirmed era 1 peridots, they’re either confirmed era 2 or unknown, so it could be that the limb enhancers are made to look like an era 1 peridot, so in this AU, Peri could just be an era 1 one
