Why women can have upfront preferences and guys can't. To be honest, these discussions are useless and the topics in these shows sometimes are stupid. Of course a women won't be attracted to guys that are jobless and with nothing interested going on for themselves. Girls might get away with that it if they are pretty but rest assure that the clock is ticking. Also the fact that women usually date up, not down it comes to an end when they reach 35 or so, beauty starts to fade and their list of requirements although is now even longer, usually will have to settle for less or stay single. Is it really a matter of equality or is it really a matter of mutual respect? Men and women are different one is not more valuable than the other, we each have our place, responsibility, and functions in this world and we can complement each other. j Matthews One thing is for sure, I'm NEVER going to marry or even date a woman who can't get a decent job on her own merit. If I turn out to make A LOT of money I don't think it's necessary for her to work, but I'd still want an ambitious woman who doesn't have to rely on anyone else or me to get her where she wants and who'd still want to pursue her own carreer. Kinda like my mom now that I think about it. Both my parents have good and stable jobs, they share chores and pretty much everything and it's been working out very well from what I've been seeing all these years. A marriage is supposed to be a partnership, not a parasitic relationship where one does all the work and the other stays at home doing virtually nothing most of the time - and don't come at me with the "oh, but the house chores and kids are as hard as any job or even harder" - stop patting yourself in the back so much, any job you can do in your pajamas is NOT a hard job. Single people have jobs and also do the house chores and you don't really hear them complain. Also, to the stay at home mothers out there saying they have the most difficult job on the planet should open their eyes a bit and have some respect for the people who actually work hard. You don't see a lot of mothers dying from lung cancer from inhaling coal dust from the mines do you? -_- I still like Steve, but I personally disagree with the way he views marriage as such a one sided relationship where he does EVERYTHING and his wife just does whatever she wants all day and spends most of his money on entire rooms dedicated to clothes. His wife seems nice, but she's a bit of a gold digger piggy backing on Steve's hard earned success... Want proof? Who was she before she married Steve? She would never have had anything remotely close to what she has now if it wasn't for her marriage with Steve. And she probably couldn't even have her own carreer before that either.

i'm with Steve on this definitely. These women better get rid of that feminist mindset or they gon remain single for awhile. no matter how 'modern' the world is, there's only ONE way God intended a man and a woman in a marriage. has nothing to do with being old-school. it's God's school. when u read & follow the bible, this wouldn't even be in question. Strong women, learn how to give up the control. Men, learn how to love your woman.

Precious YES....YES...YES!!!THANK YOU for saying this. I am a bible-believing, born-again Christian. Yes, I do have my own income and I don't mind sharing some expenses. However, I strongly believe that the man/husband should be the provider for his wife and the household. That is what God intended.That means that the man/husband is supposed have a JOB, go to work,and provide the main income. It demonstrates that can be responsible not only as a husband; but as a man. I would NEVER marry...let alone date a man who is not working. I know this sounds cruel so some people; but that it's just the way it is with me.

Taking care of children and cleaning up the house. Takes alot of work. These women on this show apparently think being a stay at parent is easyer because your a dude. This is not logical. Plus these women on this show seems to only act like gender roles are meaningles if it suits them. The moment it does not thay say I'm a women. Give me special treatment. They can not have it both ways. But yea merrige needs to be about love. Now people act like what makes a man is to pay bills and work. But this is something that adults male and female do. In other words paying the bills and working is what grown ups do. Now taking care of kids is still working. What the deffinition of being a man means needs to be redefined To something unique. Feminism and women pushing for their rights were created when women had enough with getting raped and treated like slaves by men in patriarchal societies just because men provide the income/money/power. They wanted to be powerful too to defend themselves against the misogynistic men and the only way to be powerful is by getting education and a job, starting with women's rights. The sad thing is that not all men are abusers, but those that are, need to have their wives leave them to become financially independent because these men use their power in oppressive ways.

I dated a guy once who was jobless while I was in college and barely making it myself. I helped him out from time to time with some cash and paid his phone bill for a couple of months. Found out that this guy cheated on me with like 3 girls. Out of all of the guys that I've dealt with the broke one is the one who did me the worst! I never felt so stupid in my life. How do I get cheated on by a BROKE guy?? Lmfao never again. Hell will freeze over 😭

I see what they both are saying. But a woman doing it all says you don't need a man and that leads to a man not wanting us cus we are telling them I don't need you. We need men and men need us. Be a hard working women but let the man that you have or want feel he's needed. Idk what anyone says, there are some things only a man can do and some things only a woman can do. appreciate your roles in life.

Cheryl Primo wrong, men don't need women. Look around, the whole world is built by men. Take away the govt security and women will be put in their place in one day. Don't tell me the BS that "A woman gave birth to you." That's a biological function, working is not.
@celestialcircledance6 жыл бұрын
End The Fed Like it or not men need woman . Without the ability to give birth humanity would not exist duh . However while giving birth is a biological function mothering is not and most will agree that kids who grow up in a loving two person household have more of a head start in life . I also see a lot of women being better able to provide financially due to more education and opportunities . Look at backwards patriarchal societies like the Arabs . Wouldn't want to live there but be my guest !

Cheryl Primo If men want women we'll get women just as we do anything else. Women need men by contradiction of your wants men don't need women. Women made the simple mistake of attempting to replace men with the state or other women. Even on father's day women are patting themselves on the back conditioning kids to worship not acknowledge them.

When they cut Carrie off I found them all to be extremely materialistic. All Carrie was saying is if the man has goals, and he's really trying to make those goals work then it is okay, that sounds like a woman who is understanding and willing to give the man a chance, that's all most of us ask for when we find ourselves running out of luck! Any Joe can go out and get a dead end job but those of us who truly love life are the ones who go after those goals. You could be missing out of the most incredible person in the world all because you didn't like the fact he didn't have a job. Personally I have been wanting to pursue comedy but I am 30 with a career that would heavily conflict with stand up or even youtube videos. What if one day I decide to chase my dream like literally every successful person in the world tells you to do? All the sudden I'm useless to a woman? I'm sorry but that's cold. To me Carrie is the only woman on that set that is worthy of my time!
@LisaAnn1647 жыл бұрын
rovers141 I have dated...even MARRIED men with such an attitude as yours. Saying that they are working towards their "goals"; but never get there. We (I) give you the chance; and it doesn't happen. Then the women eventually ends up financially supporting you. I have heard this all before. Now, I know this may sound cruel; but You sir would NOT be worthy of my time.
@LisaAnn1647 жыл бұрын
rovers141 Just how old are you anyway?
@rovers1417 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Anders so because you were involved with someone who failed, or didn't actually try to reach his goals, every other man who dares to sacrifice financial stability for their dreams is not worth your time? So you would rather hold your man back than allow him a chance to live his dreams, that sounds incredibly selfish.
@LisaAnn1647 жыл бұрын
rovers141Please understand that is not what I mean. What I mean is this; yes everyone is entitled to have their own aspirations and dreams. There is also reality. I believe that it is important to work and bring home the paycheck and pay the necessary bills for the home. I believe that BOTH can be accomplished. Having to ask a woman to make the sacrifice to support you financially while you pursue your personal aspirations and not making any financial contribution to the household is selfish on your part. If that is case; then why would you want to be married let alone be in a relationship during that time. Why would you want to place your partner in that type of hardship? Yes, it would be a hardship; and I truly believe that is one hardship not worth the sacrifice. So other than for medical/health circumstances; having to make a woman sacrifice herself financially while you pursue your "aspirations" and not having anything to financially contribute on your end is selfish in itself.
@LisaAnn1647 жыл бұрын
rovers141 Also, take a look at the single mothers out there in the world. These women are working 2nd and even 3rd jobs just to put food on the table for their children. These women have been making heavy sacrifices. Why? To support their families. Most of these single mothers who do not have the financial support of a husband. Yet, they are working hard to pay the bills and provide for their children. You have been talking about making the woman in your life (wife, girlfriend) to support you financially while you pursue your aspirations full-time; and not getting a job and make a contribution to the household. That I believe is very selfish.

I'm unemployed. I don't have a bank account. I don't have a driver's license. I don't contribute financially. I don't have much pride as a man because I'm old enough to have graduated medical school with a PHD. I dropped out of a carpentry course 4 weeks into the first semester at a community college because although I love to learn, I hate school. I wanted to follow my dreams, like everyone fantasizes about, I wanted to do it. Want to do it. They haven't worked out so far in the ways I imagined, but they are working out. It's just a lot slower than I thought it would be.

There are jobless people who can be as good as a doctor in what they do, as good as a lawyer in what they do, as good as an engineer in what they do etc. but sometimes the life that they were brought up in has let them down and they aren't given the same opportunity as luckier people.
