My name is Sara . I am a firm spiritual believer, My father passed away in his sleep without me getting to say goodbye on May 5, 2023 . My Alexa was playing Fleetwood Mac 20 mins before going to identify my father's body ( couldn't afford a viewing or funeral ) And this song came on 🙏 Thank you Stevie for creating this An for anyone taking the time to read my comment .

So sorry for your loss Sara. My mum passed away in her sleep aged 52 and I never got to say goodbye either. Every time she came home from the pub she would blast Stevie. So whenever I hear her I really feel my mum with me smiling as I am tapping my feet. Memories is all we have now is it. Music is the most powerful artform by far. One note can transport you to a moment in your life so fast.. 🙏

She had four abortions. But this song is about her friend Sara Recor (Mick's wife).
@chris-sauv
@chris-sauv 4 ай бұрын
@@Lacesoflove I think you are both right. 1) The abortion that Kienna refers to is about the baby she had with 1 member from The Eagles (apparently, she would have called her Sara as her friend, before her decision to abort). 2) The end of the passionate affair between Stevie & Mick (after he met her friend Sara). It seems that both events inspired that song. So this song is also adressed to Mick when she tells "Drowning in the sea of love where everyone would love to drown".

i wrote up the whole history of the song which had about 7,000 views but i am unallowed to list where it is. The song is actually quite intense as i have researched it as i dedicate it to my child & song is an historical account of a period in SN’s life in which a million things went right but mostly wrong-as life is. _In this song “Sara” she is actually talking about 3 males (Mick, Don Henley, & Lindsay) & 3 females (Robin-her BF friend that died, Sara Recor-Fleetwood, & Stevie’s unborn child-she feels is her muse-with Don Henley). Each verse is basically about a different person/force in each period of her life._ Stevie Nicks is a very complex song writer but this song in particular hits so many heart notes for people because it is about so many issues for her, mostly pain-but also hope. We all relate to that & it is painful & beautiful to us in a way we really cannot understand-because Stevie’s songs are so extemporaneous, because she is-we just feel her in it-& relate to its emotions because parts of it has happened to all of us. By far, my favorite song from “Fleetwood Mac”. Enjoy. ☮️&💜-JDS/NYC

I wonder what Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, J-Lo, Beyonce and others like them think when they see Stevie. She totally takes over a stadium crowd fully dressed, with no back up choir, laser lights, stage fog, pyro-techniques, glittery show girl back up dancers etc. Just her, some well written songs, and four other very talented musicians.

@@joeherald7319 absolutely agree with you. Her presence is astounding, all her little face moves and body movements on top of that haunting voice, are so natural and unique. Those female singers that you mentioned from this era, are nothing more than Karaoke singers, compared to the raw talent of Stevie nicks

Yeah the song "reached out" to her DEAD BABY that Don Henley demanded to be "gotten rid of". Henley is just waiting for the kharma of that and other even more egregious acts of barbarism against woman and underage girls that will take him straight to HELL in a few years.....I have a feeling he won't be "Taking It Easy" down there......

@@nazanaza1967 --You are absolutely correct. My best friend, & I had Minibikes when we were in 7th. grade. We were Tomboys for a little while. Her parents would load-up her Harley Davidson Minibike, & drive to my house. I lived in a very nice Lakeside area. With tons of Open-Space. We would get on our Minibikes early on Saturday morning, & ride them all day long. Home by dark was the ONLY rule! NO HELMETS! NO CELLPHONES, & NO WATER BOTTLES! (The no water is the 1 that I can't comprehend?) I can remember hiding in the bushes to pee. I remember my mom made us sandwiches to take. (We must have had a can of coke?) Anyway, we would sing every song off the RUMORS album while riding. Sometimes WE would get nervous, because of how far we had ridden! 2 hours away from my house. Always off-road, & we only saw guys when we came across some major Dirt-Bike trails. I wouldn't have ever allowed my 12-year-old children to do anything of the sort. FYI, I didn't even tell my kids about this. How many times would 2 CUTE, pre-teenage girls, do this before NEVER returning, nowadays?
