That guitar swap was so fucking smooth! What a bad ass.

Saw George Thorogood do the same thing in 1981 while playing at The Commodore in Vancouver. A string snapped while he was winding out on "The Sky Is Crying". He changed his own guitar with one on the stage and barely missed a twang...we went insane...
@imlxh71263 жыл бұрын
@@tyme4mike Blues musicians have got to be the biggest badasses of all time. I used to work at a Guitar Center and I'd LOVE to see one of the shitty metalcore bands my manager would constantly blast try this shit without having a fit in front of 3,000 people.

The magic was not that he broke a string, it was he changed guitars mid-song and never missed a beat. Maybe watch the video to where the roadie hands SRV another Strat and SRV grabs it, puts the strap on and continues playing.

I know that someone else had mentioned this,but kept playing with a broken string like nothing happened. Not even skipped one beat. The more and more that I see of his live videos, the more this guy amazes me on what he accomplished in his short life. Think about the level that he was at being as young as he was. And yet we get to see garbage still come out from Miley and Nikki Minaj. This guy had more talent in his left pinky finger than all of these a$$ clowns nowadays that like to think that they are musicians do in their entire bodies.

Tommy had a look of concern as well. One look from Stevie to the GT, unstraps the guitar, fresh guitar being strapped on him mid song. Never missed a beat. Damn. Miss him. Had I been there, I would have jumped out of the stands in elation!!! LONG LIVE LIVE ALBUMS AND THE LIVE VIDEOS that capture these inconceivable moments! Yes of course; Reese Wynans was the perfect fit on keyboard for Stevie's music and that band. Well, bless my soul!
