Any ‘heavies’ that you tried recently that is ok bud ? I’m struggling to find any ( prob have been for the past 20+ years to be honest )

@@treforwalker7152 Unfortunately, the easy answer to that is no. Arran Dark Ale and Wee Jock on cask are nice, but not session beers. I honestly can't find a good sessionable classic heavy. I've been looking for as long as you by the sound of it. It is criminal with all these new breweries in Scotland constantly releasing IPAs and Pale Ales, but not one can make a decent classic sessionable heavy. Sorry I can't help, but if I find one, I will let you know. Cheers 🍻🙂

Well this is disappointing, tbought it was going to be decent. I thought it might be like the Wee Jock from Broughton which is nice. The 60 shilling in scotland is dead, the breweries will be happy when 70/80 shilling have disappeared and full of golden, ipa's etc like u say..long live the darker beers👊👊

Yeah, it was disappointing. I was hoping for so much more. I think we can safely say that classic sessionable heavy is for the moment dead in Scotland. Unfortunately IPAs are very much alive. What a waste of ingredients. Cheers Dave 👍🏻🍻🙂
