Stiffening the Mk7 with a Euro Sport Rear X-Brace!

After I found the Euro Sport front tower stress bar, I saw that they made a separate unit for the rear hatch on the Mk7 GTI. This is a big upgrade for stiffening the car as a whole and one of the final bracing modifications we are going to do. It adds 4 points of contact with an x-brace center and really helps with any flex.

bought mine cuz I watched this vid! thanks for making awesome vids! Got my front strut bar coming from them as well. Unfortunately one of the nutserts from mine is free spinning and I can’t get it out but it’s whatever because the bar is incredibly sturdy and moves the entire car when i pull on it. Didn’t realize it but eurosport is a company local to me as well. Love all the gti vids!

Have you tested to see whether this does anything? I'm skeptical about whether there's any deflection in this structure to begin with.

I've been driving with it for some weeks now and I feel that it certainly adds some structure to the rear of the car. The rear half is a big hollow shell essentially.

You have done a number of bracing upgrades from under the car to inside and front. Wondering have you tested them out yet like some spirited driving or just overall feel of daily driving?
