I love the looks, except the lock. Im considering buying one , but on almost every KZbin vid I see a lot of comments on S&W revolver quality being poor. Wish I could find an older one for a reasonable price.

Oh good! I’m waiting on mine to get in, and hoping it doesn’t have any of the issues I’ve read about some having, like over canted barrel, unfinished ejector rod end, ect. Fingers crossed.🤞🏻

I just wish they’d make a beef’d up version that could compete with Rugers for handling Buffalo bore loads. S&W Fit n Finish and triggers are always better.

From all I have read a 629-4 or higher is called an Enhanced version and is supposed handle the higher power loads. They strengthened the frame and yoke. If I want something more powerful than standard loads, I'll just get a bigger gun. JMO of course.

This gun is only okay. It should've been a square butt with the old goncalo alves grips. ....and no hilary hole.

I just bought one. The grip is terrible. Sharp, knuckle destroying, edge atvthe backstrap and too slippery. The gune is awesome though.
