One night in my teens some two decades ago I anonyed all of my friends by listening to this song over 20 times in a row. It is still the closest and dearest to my introvert heart piece of lyrics ever written. Self doubt, contained over the years, self loathing to still be contained, and recognitiont that I will stay what I am slowly settling in...

Amazing Sound. He always had some jazz in him and that's such an addition to all of his other work with the Police, etc. Light & Sound. If you can read the light you learn to read the sound, sounds. 1985 Unreal. I was in Florida then & I am here now.

The Tube was a music show from the 80s filmed in Gordons home city of newcastle, the presenter was Jools Holland keyboard player from the group Squeeze
@paulikxp11 жыл бұрын
No, it has apparently been filmed in the Woolwich foot tunnel in East London under the River Thames. Not in the tube (but in A tube), not in Holland I'm afraid ;)
@simonpeacock18 жыл бұрын
That's Greenwich tunnel, it's also featured on the cover of Outlandos D'Amour
@patrickmorris44996 жыл бұрын
I think it's the Tyne foot tunnel - connects Wallsend, where Sting is from with Jarrow on the south bank of the Tyne. It was to get workers from Jarrow over to the shipyards without them having a 20 mile round trip to the bridges at Gateshead and Newcastle.

Oh and a couple of others asked about how this ending makes any sense. One idea is that the shooter had some pretty strong feelings as a blues singer and player himself, that sting made him sound and feel mediocre at best. So he eliminated the competition attempting to raise his own stock... Maybe?
