Stock vs Rev9 Catback vs CTS Turboback Sound Comparison On A MK6 GTI!

Years in the making, here is a full sound comparison of all of my exhaust setups I have had on Elsa the GTI!

Hey man great video it’s helped me a lot on deciding what setup i wanna go with. Quick question tho, did you have any problems mating up the cts with the rev9?

Thanks for the compilation video! I'm running a cts catless dp + xflow w IS38 mk7.5 and it's just way too loud for me. Sounds sweet when youre on it but the loudness at low speeds/start up make it not worth it. Going back to stock catback exhaust will quiet it up while still giving some noise when on the gas.

That's a sick set up! Yes, the stock exhaust will quiet it up but the downpipe really added some volume to mine, so I bet with the stock exhaust, it'll still sound good!

Is the rev9 on its own to loud to daily drive? Debating whether i should just do a muffler delete to get more sound or just order a rev9

The Rev9 with just the res is not too loud. The downpipe really woke it up. I daily drove it without the downpipe for a while and had no complaints.

Its quiet actually, just save money and delete your resonator … you need a downpipe so the car can be loud

Love it! I got some videos going more in depth on it than just a comment but the sound is great so is the power delivery with stage 2.

Without; just resonators.

What diverter/blow off do you run?

I used to run the ECS DV spacer but I was losing boost too it so I removed it and upgraded to the revision D DV.

No problems whatsoever. The CTS down pipe comes with a 3" to 2.5" reducer and it mated up perfectly!
