Omg this will save soooo much computing power that I servilely lack! Thank you my friend

Coming back to this after about 2 months of playing music. I'm at the stage where I can use this. Made a few templates mixing this with Kickback Couture's workflow videos.

@StockMusicMusician I'm trying this now, and love that it works...but I'm getting a weird slap delay. Do you get this as well?

Thanks for another really informative video Evan. On a different channel they advocate connecting the Return Out to the FX Return on the Master Section which re-populates the FX Return controls on the mixer. Is there any benefit to be gained by so doing please?
@StockMusicMusician2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim! Towards the end of the video in get into that a bit, but advantage of that would be that it works more smoothly with solo/mute. The disadvantage is that you can’t have a bus with all your send effects.

Halo. Found your video very helpful, thank you. But, i got one problem with the Send FX in Reason. So usually when i bounce a Clip with the Send FX On, the FX is already printed directly in the bounced the clip. But i think i messed something up in the Setting, because now when i bounce a Clip, it juts copied the Send FX setting from the source Clip. It only bounce the raw source clip. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

Are the native send channels processed in order, i.e. 1 happens before 2 happens then 3 happens to the signal that has 1 and 2 on it etc?
@StockMusicMusician Жыл бұрын
It should all happen simultaneously with delay compression turned on (which is how I recommend mixing). So if you send a guitar to delay on insert 2 and then send the delay to insert 3, your returns should be a delayed guitar (2) and a delayed+reverb guitar (3). All should be in phase/synced. You can check the manual for what happens otherwise.

Interesting.

Just an FYI this will introduce some latency if you are using a higher buffer setting as Reason will not accommodate the latency with delay compensation. It wont affect the final product but may make syncing a pain.

What would you do if you needed 14-20 effects?
@StockMusicMusician2 жыл бұрын
Probably use a different DAW. Reason doesn’t scale well. There’s some work arounds, but by the time you have more than sixteen channels on Reason, it becomes really hard to manage.
@beeemm21042 жыл бұрын
of course with reason you can take this a "few steps further ™" gaining moaR detailed control...and you forgot to mention the *master send levels* up in the eq section! -> these are handy global controls which get little attention from content providers! 🕶 cheers.
@StockMusicMusician2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great point about the master send levels! I would normally just boost the input of the send channel, but boosting the master send level is probably the better way to do things!
