When I was a child, my dad once promised he would come to my first piano recital, even though he had to work long night shifts to make ends meet. That day, it poured rain, and I was almost certain he wouldn’t make it on time. As the performance was about to start, the auditorium doors opened, and there he was, soaking wet but smiling. After the recital, he told me, “Keeping a promise matters more than anything, even if no one sees or praises you for it.” That lesson, much like the teachings of Stoic philosophy, has stayed with me throughout my life, reminding me that doing the right thing is the greatest reward of all

For those wondering about the coughing, its because 1) They might have just gone through gas training, and/or 2) when people from different places come together, many people get sick because we cross-contaminate each other with our different germs. Stress, fatigue, and dehydration can also cause sickness (coughing.)

Great meditation to start the day=] Happy veterans day everyone!!:!! Grateful for my grandfather George Wimberley's purple heart awarded to him for his paratrooper service in Northern Africa and Italy during WWII. I became an officer and member of our local VFW Auxiliary chapter and leadership team to honor his service and his legacy. He instilled a doubly infinite pure fighting spirit in me with his stories with me when I was a tike- his most intense story burned into my memory was when he was in the infirmary, he sees his brothers and sisters in arms pass that a fire lit in his soul and he said to himself "not me- I will do anything and everything to make it out of this personal hell for myself and my family- "not me, not today". He "held the line" so that I could exist today.

Considering that Ryan said at the beginning: "You can coff freely as well", I suppose he knows that something happened and that they needed to coff a lot. Can't say why, but since he stated it, I suppose the crowd wasn't trolling or disirspecting him, just something happened and they couldn't help it. *EDIT:* anyway, shame on me, why are we focusing on the coffing and not on what Ryan said?

Such a powerful reminder about what true strength looks like. Justice, courage, wisdom, and self-discipline are not just ancient virtues but a timeless guide for living a life of integrity and purpose. Marcus Aurelius’s life serves as a testament to how we can all rise above life’s pressures and focus on what truly matters. If you’re interested in diving deeper into Stoic philosophy and finding ways to apply these principles today, I’d love to share more insights on my channel. Let’s explore this journey together! 🌱 #StoicHealing

Maria Luisa. Clare is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. I am positive that I saw a Ryan video titled “Stop Doing these 5 things” where he said not to be judgmental and not to have an opinion about everything. He sure seems to be judgmental and seems to hold strong opinions about Trump. Wondering how lionizing the Vindman bros and championing John McCain as a hero (which requires unquestioningly accepting the MSM narrative) fits in with the stoic philosophy? Pretty sure the audience coughing is their “non-stoic” reaction to the attack on their President. Ryan might want to do a little independent research on the cause of the USS Forrestal catastrophe.

I’m reluctant to read your books or listen to your advice after the last email you sent out. I’m concerned that your message may be skewed toward liberalism. Stoicism should not be taking a strong stand, left or right politically. Your far left stance may interfere with your message. That got me thinking further. None of the most famous stoics set out to be famous. You seem to thrive on getting your name out there. The prices you’re asking for some of your products are exorbitant. There’s a leather bound book you’re selling for $110, and you charge an additional $10 for your autograph, like you’re some kind of celebrity. It seems like you learned all the right things to say so that you can stand on the shoulders of giants and con people into believing that you’re a stoic, so that you can rob them. Manipulating people for fame and wealth definitely goes against the tenets of stoicism
