This hike leads into the Stoissengraben, a wide ravine that runs deep through the rock and is dominated by the Buchweißbach. Especially families and hikers who prefer the experience of nature to the altitude, get their money's worth here. The cool mountain water of the Buchweißbach offers refreshment and a few barefoot steps, while the predominantly shady path offers a varied hiking experience even on hot summer days. At the end of the Stoissengraben a magical waterfall awaits. For families, the Stoissengraben turns out to be a large natural playground, inviting to discover and let off steam.
Note: It can be ascended from the Stoissengraben over the Wasserfallsteig in about 3.5 hours to the Peter-Wiechenthaler-Hütte. Only for experienced, sure-footed hiker with good condition to recommend.
