John looks well different here with his hair cut short

This is after john and Reni quit. The guitarist is Aziz Ibrahim and he plays on some of Ian's solo stuff as well

@rascott1970 I was there as well - I really must have been wasted as I remember reading the NME a week later and wondered why they gave the gig such a slagging whereas |I thought they were quite good !

I'm kind of jealous tbh. Even if it's a bad Stone Roses show, it's still fascinating from a historical perspective.

Reni really carried the Roses on his back at times. Best musician in the band by miles

How is it possible that three such excellent musicians could collaborate with such an untalented person for so long?

The guitar solo too. It’s kinda decent but it lacks that distinctive John squire sound

The most overrated band of my lifetime. An absolutely terrible influence on Northern music, blokes and menswear. Ian Brown should be regarded about as affectionately as Ian Brady.

honestly Aziz did pretty well, Squire is probably one of the hardest guitarists ever to replace. Reni there's only one of him tho sadly.

I was there...I remember thinking he couldn't hit a note to save his life. Stil loved the experience though. He was a right miserable turd as well. He came out on stage and barely said a word other than telling a fan to 'take that effing union jack flag down'

Gotta love the irony of this. Ian "singing" a song composed musically by John - who isn't there - that's basically telling someone who you grew to hate to feck off. (Which John wisely did). Sorry, but even the weakest Seahorses gig is better than this 😂. (Who I loved btw).
@StanceSantos8 ай бұрын
Even more ironic is that John who was absent had played at the greatest gig of that year when he joined oasis at the end of their Knebworth gigs, almost like a “well Feck you too” response to Ian 😂
