One question: i don't like chewing-gums as they send the wrong signal to the digestive system. How else taking birch sugar? Could dissolved in water work? Thanks

What to do about an abscess?

Does it mean that dental diet involves avoiding all carbohydrates. As whole grains contain phytic acid and starchy vegetables quickly turn to sugar. Does it mean no carbs or is there a way to get some carbs in? Appreciate your thoughts!
@EvolveDentalHealing5 ай бұрын
I would say low carbs and reduce the frequency of having them - so carbs in one or two meals followed by xylitol or rinsing the mouth with water and you are going to limit the impact of them of your dental health. And yes spot on regarding the whole grains and starchy veg. I typically have one meal a day or a small lunch plus dinner. Mainly fish or lamb (I'm not too fond of other meats by way of preference) plus salad, green beans, spinach, kale or asian green and some avocado and olive oil.

@@EvolveDentalHealing thank you for your reply. So carbs for one or two meals, immediately followed by rinsing and xylythol? That sounds good. Thank you so much!

yes, you got it. See what works for you. Be your own science experiment.

What about the natural sugars in fruits? Should you brush after eating fruit?
@EvolveDentalHealing6 ай бұрын
yes, bacteria can and will use those natural sugars to decay teeth. Also, fruit tends to be acidic. After eating fruit rinse your mouth with water and or have a xylitol mint or gum. Also, always wait 30 minutes after eating before brushing your teeth, especially with anything acidic as your enamel will be demineralised and softer and you will brush that layer away before it can reharden if you brush too soon afterwards.

Did you say teeth do not have cells that can repair? We dont have teeth when we are first born. Teeth grow. They fall out and new teeth grow back. Is this not involving cells that renew.
@EvolveDentalHealing5 ай бұрын
no, it is not those cells produce teeth and that's it job done. The tooth cannot produce more tooth structure unlike say bones or skin cells

I don't eat sugar. I brush my teeth. My toothpaste does not have fluoride. I floss. I stil get cavities.
@EvolveDentalHealing6 ай бұрын
Ok, when I talk about sugar I also include starchy carbohydrates as they contribute to the decay process by feeding bacteria so if you eat these it's the same as sugar. If you or your mouth environment are too acidic that will cause cavities as will deficiencies in minerals and vitamins.
