I've had a lot of success with two team parlays using different game times. If the first leg hits I hedge the second game and guarantee a profit. If the first game losses at least I'm not paying a premium. I do agree that more than two legs is usually a guaranteed loss, but sometimes it's worth a sprinkle.

This is absolutely true. The second I stopped parlays I started winning. It’s easy to get drawn in because of the risk/reward is so alluring. Next thing you know, you’re down $300 after constantly throwing $10 at parlays that never hit

That's exactly it!! Here is a big problem: many websites and Facebook groups are filled with people showing their winning ticket where they bet $10 and won $700. But they fail to tell you that they lost their previous 121 attempts, though.

Exactly parlays are junk i do one fun money parlay a week for $20 that's it I remember 7 years ago I was winning like crazy went 68- 27 and was only like up $3645 for month and because I lost $2930 in parlay loses for the month I was upset with myself since then I flat bet every pick and limit to 1 parlay for$20 a week since then there has been 82 months in total 57 winning weeks only 25 losing def need load management

Ok parlay is good if u know how to play 3 games you play split 2 games out of the 3 meaning home win and away win so you only betting on 1 game. The only thing is u split ur money 32 dollar into 8 dollar bets

Parlays increase the variance on top of compounding your expected losses - if each leg is -EV. In addition, it's difficult to line shop when you are doing parlays that most parlay bets made are not made with the best odds. The premise here is that all legs have -4.5% ROI. However, if you can find two legs that are +EV (through mispriced odds), you can parlay those two legs and compound your EV, and that little increase in variance is worth it. Sometimes, those parlay boost promotions can make a -EV bet positive. But of course, I would never risk more than 1/4 of a unit even on 3+ leg parlays unless I get some really juicy offer because sportsbetting is a slow and steady hustle :). I think I mostly stayed away from being limited because I place a lot of 2-leg parlays after running through projections. But all in all great video, my friends had been asking for parlay tips and I told them to stop doing parlays, now I can share this with them!

the 3 friends and I have made very good $ long term on parlays...but we only play out highest % teams to wager. That said, it is not wise for most people to do so....as most people do not profit long term on sports wagering...due to how challenging it is.....UNLESS...a person has a very rare strategical concept to use. We have hit 94.6 % all time on our top % NFL wagers....mostly individual teams....but also plenty of small parlays as well...usually 3-4 teams max in most cases. Unless a person can find very high % patterns to hit and profit very well long term on games....parlays are a bad idea otherwise. Well said brother on this video. Thankfully it does not apply to everyone out there.

I try to do “rolling parlays” … meaning I don’t bet two or three games on a single ticket but rather I’ll bet an early game … usually European soccer given the time difference … roll those winnings and original stake into a midday or early afternoon basketball 🏀 (or football 🏈 game); and then roll that into an early evening or late game. If I go 3-0 (or 2-0 on a team play) the payout is far greater than betting all my action on a single ticket. The only downside is beating line movement. That late game capped at -3 early in the day might be -4.5 and that 1.5

Loved the video professor I bet parlays 75% of the time mostly 3 teamers. Sometimes I hit but more times than not I don’t for instance yesterday I had Yankees - Cards - Rays after the Cards won n the Yankees were up they offered me a cash out option for 1/2 of my winning total I passed n well Rays lost. Last night had a 4leg SGP Dodgers,all hit but the U9.5 so if I would had straight betted all those 7 picks I would of hit 5 of them for a really nice profit instead of losing all my 💵💵. What is wild is that I know all this and yet I still do parlays. I use them when my convictions are weak and dont want to bet them straight. I am therefore rounding outparlays with leans that I wouldnt have bet straight in the first place and I keep them cheap. I know my odds suck and I accept this as I am not a pro. In the last three days I hit several 3 ways, a couple 4 ways, and a 5 way. Last week I hit the rare 9 way even though I only had one dollar on it. I know I cant justify them mathematically. That said I hope I am sizing them correctly when compared to my straight bets for minimal impact overall.

Yeah, the problem is they are fun and exciting. But so bad for your bankroll. If you can at least discipline yourself on the number and amount bet on parlays, that would be a good start. For example, someone betting $50 on single wagers that does one parlay a week for $10 is okay.

Like the stock market if you have the ability to cash out and have done your homework you can win or loose. If you look at the stock market or wagering as gambling, then YES you will loose. I have have lost far more money or not made any money at all in the markets. My broker or banker did, but not me. Not necessarily true. There are many bets that can be proven to be good value wagers (from a mathematical standpoint). You be done via "value betting" or "arbitrage betting". See my website for these articles. Will eventually make videos about them too.

While you are right that parlays are dangerous, I have made over $2k this season off parlays starting from $250 bucks. They can be profitable but you just have to be smart about them. Just don’t go wild and put down crazy amounts of money. I never put big bets on parlays unless you can afford it. 5-10 bucks parlays can make you a lot of money over time.

Have a question professor. I get on fan duel about everyday the past 8 weeks. What i do is about a 10 team parlay on average. Ill put lots of .50 cent bets down. When i say alot im doing about 30 combinations. If i have a bad night with nothing i will do a single bet. In that aspect I've been pretty good. Winning about 70 percent of the time. This money is what allows me to play 30/ .50 parlays. I tend to hit once every 10 days. Or twice a week. The payouts are really good as you can imagine. Well, 10-team parlays are extremely bad bets. You might have won money over 8 weeks, but I can guarantee you will be in the red after 1-2 year(s). The bookie's vigorish eats you alive much faster with parlays. And you cannot shop for the best line on each team (you seem to play with just one bookie, am I right? You need at least 3-5 sportsbooks to get the best line possible. That is critical to your long-term success as well).

Tells you how little time I have left on the planet😁. Well it’s enough to make the total overrounds less than what the mathematicians would expect. And when I used to have betting accounts I used to place large numbers of big parlays throughout the season. And most of them were to some degree or other a partial hedge on the other bets . And what that does is build an almost invariably strong overal position near the end of the season. Such that it can be hedged so that at worst you get most of your bank back . On top of this because of the nature of top class sport every three to four years few teams muck you around . When they hit the top they stay there . When this happens you can make very high percentages ? Anyway such is the nature of the internet that no one listens to me . And that means they bet singles or parlays on games . An appallingly bad use of your bookies accounts . Heh ho 😀
