Sometimes you need to take a step back from your situation to see it clearly.

As someone who did that, I agree with what you said, but it takes a certain level of actual wisdom and intelligence to not take what you said as what could be misunderstood; Purpose is a made up thing, responsibility too, these are self-induced hallucinated concepts we collectively created to validate suffering and sacrifice - if you combat this truth, you're still not your true self, not matter what you want to argue, all the concepts are fabricated. Now on the flip side, if you do want to do something, you should listen to your inquisitiveness and look up methods or guides to do what you want to do without incurring injury, example: a poorly done lift can and will result in serious injury, sometimes death, proper instruction on form and mechanicity amends that - a tutorial on learning to draw can streamline years of frustration - some things, we do need to look at the repertoire of what the collective trialed and errored and found to work and not, but things that are people's opinions on how you should live your life in the sense of what you should give yourself-worth too, like making sure you make a certain amount of income or talk a certain way with people, or think a certain way - this is a form of roko's basilisk where people are ponzi'ed into behavioral niches or groups, a lot of the time, for a monetary outcome and eventually an outcome of society's quality. TLDR: She's right only if you fully overtand her, but there's a paradox to it in the sense of taking value from trial and error from others.

Thanks for your comment! I think you’re totally right and thank you for understand what I truly meant with my video. It’s complicated because we’re all looking for a sense of purpose that ultimately doesn’t exist in order to give meaning to our lives, when our true “purpose” is simply to live. Yes, there is merit to taking advice especially for doing specific types of things but I think as a whole a lot of people take too much into consideration other people’s opinions and ways to live rather than simply just trusting oneself.
