Reseller's are not the cause as they're not putting financial pressure on Goodwill. The company get's its product for free, taking away the majority of what would normally be immense buisness expense. The low cost of product procurement comparatively to other retail stores, lowers the amount of which goodwill must charge to collect a decent profit. For example, a Goodwill can afford to sell a donated Macbook Pro for 100$, but an Apple Store, or even Factory, cannot, as the store and factory spent immense time, money, and resources manufactoring such an item, whilst Goodwill got it for free. Ultimately, the act of reselling won't drive up prices. The reason why is because it isn't effecting Goodwill's buisness expenditures, thereby necessitating an increase in price. You can argue that reseller's are providing competition, but Goodwill has the massive advantage of not needing to pay for their products, which gives them the ability to massively (At least comparatively) undercut those reseller's. And that is not even mentioning the massive Brand Recognition, Consumer Trust (At least comparatively), and tax breaks that Goodwill gets, unlike Reseller's. All in all, the price increase is not due to Reseller's; they're a scapegoat. It is ultimately Goodwill realizing what they have, and attempting to sell such at Retail Value, in order to maximize profits, irregardless of the wishes and whims of their target audience and customers.

Reselling has always been finding valuable items for cheap, whether it's a thrift store or auctions. That's literally why resale shops exist. What you're talking about is a yard sale. Which resellers also go to. If I'm at a thrift store looking for clothes and find a Coach purse for ten bucks, I'm 100% reselling it to pay my bills. Only gonna make 20 or 30 bucks on it anyway, someone else will still get it for a steal.

He didnt though and there are like no kids buying shit from thrift stores anymore. Like I went to a place. No kids. None while there was this toy section with nerf guns that I had and the guns were the best thing ever. Were 6€

I give stuff to Goodwill for a tax cut. If I see something I like, I'll buy it. If I can make money off of it, I resell it. Let's see how many people cry over this, lmao.

Problem is to many players playing the same game so naturally the so called Thrift stores are doing the same thing and it’s getting harder and harder to flip items for a decent profit. Need to change your flipping script and find another resource as good Will won’t be it. Can still find good deals at garage sales and estate sales though

If y'all ever go to a thrift store, look at the dumpster. That's where 90% of donations go. People donate garbage to thrift stores because it's cheaper than renting a dumpster. Then you act like people sell stuff instantly. Resellers can and do sit on inventory for weeks, if not months. Not to mention that a thrift store IS a reseller in itself. All new items are resold five times before they make it to the initial store. Fuckin Walmart is technically a large scale resale store. They bought their inventory from a supplier. The supplier bought it from the manufacturer. The manufacturer bought the raw materials from someone else. Everything is sold and resold dozens of times in it's life, who cares if the little guy does it? If you wanted it, guess you should have been faster. Life ain't fair, we're all clawing to survive. Y'all complain, but if you saw a pair of Jordans there you'd 100% sell them for a quick hundo profit to pay your bills. Y'all hypocrites. You gotta hustle to survive.
