I love laughing at these names but I was almost named Cecelia (dad refused, thank God). But my mom ended up with another name, one after a character in one of her favorite books, and feminine version of a founding father and a great leader: Alexandra. (Named after Aunt Alexandra (for spelling) from To Kill a Mockingbird and Alexander the Great. (And funnily enough a founding father, but my dad was the one to realize that when I was named, but didn’t say anything). I’m just happy it’s a fairly normal name, despite constantly having to correct people on the spelling (as in it’s not Alexandera or Alexandria, I’m not a library afterall). But yeah, normally very dumb and cringe to name your kid after characters you like/media you love, but if it’s a normal name and it just happens to be from something in media as well, one can usually go about their life without being embarrassed).
