Technically, this is correct. One cannot 100% undo damage to basement membranes of the endolymphatic sac with any certainty in humans, and it won't be measured as it can't be, but repair does happen in animal experiments. But it's not about a cure for reversal at an ultrastructural level. Once one stops thinking about MD as a single entity and personalises the blood test and genetics, with specific treatments, it's nowhere near as fearful.
