@Carpiio O. hi. Actually I just ordered it online this morning so it should arrive within 1-3 days. I bought benton mineral sun stick. I'll update you when I tried it! In my case pure chemical sunscreen like Klairs and Cosrx sting my eyes so much. Klairs even stings on my skin too. Cosrx feels good on skin but stings on eyes so much, it's also very perfumey. I usually tend to avoid perfumed products near my eyes. But these 2 sunscreen still sting eventhough I don't apply them on my undereye/lids My safety sunscreen is still skin aqua milk/gel. It's milky watery hybrid, not perfumey sunscreen and they're very minimum to not sting at all even when I apply it near my eyes Physical sunscreen in theory should not sting that much so I'll update again about the benton one. But then again it could be from alcohol/perfume too. Maybe you should check to ophthalmologist if you have dry eye syndrome or not. If your eyes are sensitive with other products beside sunscreen maybe you do

It happens to me even when I don't apply it near the eye area, I wonder if it's because I tend to touch my face during the day, but I think it's a normal thing that everybody does...or maybe it's the "fumes" of the product itself that are near my eyes and make them sting and burn like crazy. I often get irritation on my face as well, so I wonder if I'm just allergic to spf and I can't use anything

@@danasaywhat_43 No, in fact most of the Korean and European sunscreens have the new filters, and I usually have no burning with them. But I think it can dipend from many other factors. I put sunscreen everywhere BUT my eyelids. However, I wear very dark 100% UVA/UVB blocking sunglasses anytime I set foot outside (unless it's nighttime), because I'm very light sensitive. I do the same with my child. I'll put a stick sunscreen on the eyebrow area, and under the eyes, and over the entire rest of my face, but I leave the upper eyelid alone. I've done this for many years and have never gotten sunburned around my eyes, even on the beach. Just putting this here for those that cannot tolerate sunscreen on their eyelids.

UVA & UVB rays still reach your eyes when you're wearing sunglasses & what about indoors where UVA & UVB rays are as well bc they penetrate glass? Black Girl Sunscreen is a cheap one that won't burn your eyes as long as you don't get it on top of your waterline.

@perfectfae3534 Considering you can still get melanoma in your eyes from the sun, you are going to have to put some trust in sunglassses. I had to stop using it for a while, especially around my eyes, which sucks because my dark circles and undereye wrinkles immediatly got worse. I did almost exactly what you're showing here, except the sunscreen lipbalm I used contains titanium dioxide. What I'm inferring from this video is that zinc is even more sensitive than titanium? thanks for the tip! It's a battle putting spf around my eyes. So far, I can only tolerate mineral sunscreen there. Olay Regenerist Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 fragrance-free has been my go-to, but it still leaves a slight white-cast especially after reapplication. Mineral lip balms have been a pretty cool (and cheaper) work-around too, like the Sun Bum Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm. I've tried that exact Neutrogena sunscreen stick, and it is quite white. I've been putting off trying concealer to ward off the white cast, but it sounds like it would help.

For U.S sunscreens I tend to tolerate much better the combination sunscreens around my eyes compared to fully chemical. The combination sunscreens are usually still relatively cosmetically elegant compared to fully mineral. I would recommend trying Korean/European sunscreens if you struggle with chemical sunscreens stinging your eyes. Garnier and La Roche Posay both have anti-eye stinging technology. Mineral sunscreens for me are just never cosmetically elegant (never invisible/crease/...) and even using them just around my eyes looks weird for me.

I used to do this, but then I was concerned that the zinc might cause reactions with the avobenzone in the chemical sunscreen you put afterwards - at least in the parts of your face that has overlaps between the two sunscreens. Maybe I've been overthinking this, since zinc coatings can reduce reactions. But in any case, I switched to using LRP Anthelios around my eyes and then a less expensive regular sunscreen elsewhere.

Would high spf chapsticks such as ultrasun’s work around the eyes too? ❤️❤️🙏

I've tried this & it still ends up in my eyes somehow. Pure Hell for my eyes. Black Girl Sunscreen is the only one I've ever tried that doesn't burn my eyes. Just don't get it on your waterline & don't rub your eyes.

Although the name "setting powder" is evocative and google shows many varieties, I don't know anything else. Are they all the same or can you provide guidance on choosing one? PS: I've been using my lip balm (Banana Boat SPF50) around my eyes - figured it was gentler and more likely to stay in place but welcome better advice.

Evocative? 😂 but “setting powder” is just powder for your face - people call it “setting” because of what it’s used for: to “set” the makeup (or sunscreen) on your face so it’s harder to rub off/transfer/get greasy/ etc. Makeup brands and makeup enthusiasts will explain all the different types and formulas etc but for this purpose, if you’re interested just go to a drug store and find a face powder in the makeup aisle. They make translucent ones so you aren’t adding artificial color etc which might be what you’d prefer to start 🤷‍♀️

I’ve noticed that a lot of Asian sunscreens don’t run so idk if they burn but I haven’t gotten burning eyes with them yet lol

My eyes burn using the hada labo and biore sunscreen. Both japanese brands. The mineral sunscreens are way too expensive from where i am from tho.

I have tried over 8-10 Japanese sunscreens, all brands and they all burn my eyes, even the mineral ones. But I love Japanese sunscreens over the US sunscreens.

Or just use a Korean sunscreen, which probably has newer filters. The Isntree Watery Sungell is a lifesaver and goes on like a moisturizer!

I find my problem is mostly when I start sweating and the sunscreen from my forehead drips down into my eyes. When I'm going to be outside for a while I just apply below my eyes and wear a hat to cover up my forehead
