The never slider/flossing of the nerve was the key to my situation. It created the tingling in the hand when I tried it. I will work on all your suggestions, but that one seemed to focus on my particular issue. Thank you.

Been dealing with shoulder pain and numbness that's killing my grip strength. I definitely feel those flossing movements. I hope they help! I've seen 3 massages therapists, a rehab specialist, and am currently attending physical therapy and your video might have had better information than all of them. Thanks!

Great tips! A vitamin B12 deficiency might also add to the problem, so a combination of these exercises with some extra Vit B12 might really help you.

Thanks for this. I woke up thinking i was having a heart attack with both my arms from the elbow down kinda numb and tingling. Nerve in my neck makes much more sense seeing as how I sat at my computer all day yesterday. Exercises it is!

Waitor stretches help. Thank you. I sleep on my back almost always, otherwise congestion builds up and I can't breathe. Allergies suck. I struggle with getting good angles with pillows under my neck and upper back. I also need a thin feather type pillow under my legs. Painsomnia wakes me alot. Injuries here and there. I understand why there are safety rules for work. When you slack up on safety, you get injured. As you get older, the injury pain increases. 😞

Just watched and had a question.I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and sometimes I wake up with red like burns on my fingers and they are tingling and asleep. I know it’s a result of compression in my neck but am not sure if it’s because my pillow is too low or too high. Is there a way to tell the difference from a visual

@TrevorGettmann when I was going to physical therapy, one of the ladies there told me to raise the height of my pillows enough to allow my head to tilt back a little. I know this has helped me. My wife has EDS also. She used to get what you call a cigarette burn red spot in different places. That's an EDS thing. She has issues with numbness because of all the shattered, degenative disks. She used to be a figure skater as a teenager. An MRI showed bone fragments around her neck area. The doctor said she is lucky to even be able to move like she does. She broke an arm in gymnastics, where her bone was just too weak to hold up under the stress she was cause from what she was doing on a balancing beam.

Hi, im 37 years old. Ive always had tingling and numbness in my sleep, but for the last couple of weeks its been lasting a few hrs after i wake up. Its not every night. Just three times out of two weeks. I will try your exercises. Ive been trying to be more conscious of keeping my arm straight. Some times i wake up on my arm. I hope i havent caused permanent damage.

Everyone focuses everything I’m not doing… it’s worst when I sleep on my back with my arms down. My arms go entirely numb and don’t function at all by morning. It takes at least an hour to gave some function, but it’s half a day before they’re all the way back. I have a pretty flat pillow. It’s too small to sleep on my side, so I sleep on my back and then I wake up with no arms.

Since my first seizure while driving with only my right hand on the wheel. My hands always feels like a sore feeling. It falls asleep at least once every hour. I’m nervous about being a barber do to my right hand with a sore feeling and it falling asleep. I got a physical therapist for my hand and nothing has changed. When I was in school, I had a cushion on the pencil. It felt like a pinch and I would write.

Could mean that your nerve has extra tension in it! Work through these exercises at a range that feels comfortable and does not cause excessive tingling, and progress from there!

Thank you for the wonderful video i will certainly try all the exercise. I have 1 question, I suffer from sciatica nerve pain but today i woke up after sleeping on my right hand and for the first time i notice my fingers and had were numb and i could feel tingling in 4 of my fingers. the numbness and tingling was only on the one hand i slept on all night. I never had this feeling in my hand before., Please advise what should i do to remove this numbness out quickly in my finger tips? I only feel the numbness in the finger tips on in my entire hand., I don't know what to try heat or cold packs! it's early afternoon and it's still present but not as bad as when i woke up. please advise! thanks so much

This could certainly be a cause! Causing too much compression to nerves can cause increased nerve related symptoms. May be worth trying some of these before bed or changing sleeping positions!

@@ThePrehabGuys I was able to find an affordable comfortable splint for my wrist and hands that prevents my hand from bending. Will also try to sleep on my side. Keep you posted if it works tonight! Will know by the morning.

I recently started working at boar's Head and for the last month every single night between 1:00 and 3:00. In the morning I wake up with my left hand which I am right-handed by the way but my left hand wakes me up. It is tingling burning. The ring finger is the worst and sometimes it's so bad it makes me cry and I can't go to sleep. I've tried the wrist braces for two nights. It did not happen after that. Nothing helps. I haven't got my time in work to go and have something done about it. Is there anything I can do to help besides these exercises because they didn't work

I also want to point out I sleep on my right side the whole time but it's always my left that has issues. If I get up on my other elbow in the bed then my hand will quit on the left. I don't understand

I get numbness in my hands not only lying down also siting and have bended elbows of of ether hand. So far nothing helps, steroid injection in cervical spine ,anti inflammatory medication,physical therapy,even an injection on left shoulder called PRP using my own blood. It is a lot of arthritis spreading on all my joints and tendonitis.Hope a some day will be a cure…

i tried to do the ulnar nerve slider with my left arm/ hand just once and my pinky and ring finger immediately started tingling right after i did it (like it does when my elbow is bent) i also couldn’t do the upside down okay over my eye on either side. is that normal when just starting out these exercises? thank you for any help you can give me :-)

Very normal! Often times, we will see that once side is more restricted than the other! Keep after these exercises and you will notice that your mobility and neural tension starts to improve!

For the neck, find a pillow that feels comfortable and helps to keep your head in a neutral position best it can! We recognize that we sleep in lots of different positions at night but a supportive and comfortable pillow is helpful!

Today I woke up my hand and arm up until my elbow was numb. This is the first time I remember it happening. The thing is I could move my right arm but not the elbow down. So when I put it facing up my arm would just fall down I couldn’t do anything. I think it’s sleep paralysis but I have no idea. Please comment tips and why.
