2:34 It's subsonic because it didn't break the sound barrier. When moving relative to the air, it was going less than the speed of sound. 2:40 80 mph is not fast. Speeding cars on the motorway can go faster. The plane reached speeds of 825 mph (according to BBC news)

@@guiltyagi2685 Supersonic is when something breaks the sound barrier. The speed of sound in a medium is relative to the motion of the medium, not to some other medium such as the ground below. I don't know where all the electricity was coming from, but it wasn't wind turbines. The ones near me are all shut down if anything more than a light breeze hits them.

@ 2.43 - Did I just hear the newsreader say that 'the plane clocked up speeds of more than 80 miles an hour on the back of the jet stream'??!! I should bloody well think so, because if it was any slower it wouldn't even have taken off, let alone cruise over the Atlantic!!!

Yes, very true. I think it's because people think the apocalypse is about destruction, it's not. Apocalypse means revelation. It's all a distraction from what is really going on.

I can’t believe that the plane was “supersonic” and reached speeds of over 80mph, unbelievable!!

A little correction, a Boeing 747 didn’t travel supersonic at 80mph.... it traveled *subsonic and at *800mph....

2:32 Fastest SUB-sonic Atlantic crossing, NOT supersonic. We haven't had any supersonic airliners since concorde.
