Timmy was being used as a sacrifice for the red man's child but the red man's child turned feral like the cannibals on the island and killed him, hence the death by crayola after the same procedure as timmy being hooked up and all. Then the child made her way to that big space and was drawing. The artifact has a dead space effect on people hence the mutations and the biomass in the observation rooms. The child Megan then mutates after you find her. You bring down a plane after finding out that a lifeless corpse won't work as sacrifice, repeating the cycle of the game but you escape after hooking a living child up to the artifact for timmy to be revived by the machine. After you are in a talk show because you're a famous actor who's just been rescued and like all times a actor does stuff they end up on a talk show. Then suddenly whilst doing a who can cut down a tree competition with the host timmy starts to transform just like megan did. An I guess the main character kills timmy or can't do it and then the mutated timmy kills everyone and makes the babies that turn into more mutants then the world gets fucked. :') that's what I have gotten from the story. The research company are trying to unlock the resurrection properties of the artifact by using the children it kidnaps as test subjects but obviously there's an out break of the cannibal mutants and greater mutations killing the employees off. I'm guessing it's been going on for a long time after and multiple people came in pursuit of their kidnapped child of they found the island (yacht people with the missing kid milk carton) they find out the same as you about the artifact and do the same repeat with the next people. Only you're the only one to escape with timmy after. :l long analysis but yeah.

It's a loop, but not the kind you think. You know what you did to save your son. It's a constant pattern of people dying and someone else getting sacrificed to bring them back. When you brought down the plane, you did it so you could be the next "red man" and grab a survivor to bring back to the artifact. You killed countless people to save your son.

adam wolf44 nah, is more like a coincidence, you see, the red cannibal was once in the same position as you, he took your son, sacrificed him so he could bring megan (his daughter) back to life, and for that he crashed a plane, and you did the same, but your son didn'r turn into that monster while you were at the island, so you got rescued, and then he transforms in the middle of that show. not a cycle, just a coincidence

Aye, it seems that bringing back the dead is just the bait. The artifact's true purpose appears to be intended to proliferate the alien's DNA by creating mutants. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it's mechanisms weren't specifically tailored to prey upon human drives and emotions.

The red mutant is a human who lost her daughter, he needed a sacrifice to resurrect her, so he took Timmy. The daughter resurrected and killed her father (red mutant/human) Your own son is now dead, so you crash a plane, take a kid on plane crash and resurrect your son, now your son have the same infection of the little girl. It's a loop

Agree with most of it. But I doubt she killed them because of the red paint. I assume the machine just makes them psychotic along with mutating them. Hence what happens to Timmy at the end. Despite not having any red paint anywhere. The artefacts are clearly the source of everything though. Including the cannibals and all of the bigger mutants. If it ever explains it, I'd imagine something similar to the markers from dead space.

That ending cinematic is pretty out of place and honestly spoils the feel of the ending. I think they could have cut it right after the plane crashed, honestly- the implications are clear enough. This is a cyclical event; the Red Cannibal took down your plane to save his daughter, and in turn you _become_ the Red Cannibal's successor (look at you- you look just like him, in the same paint and wearing cannibal bones!) and take down another plane to save _your_ child.

Not sure if anyone explained it or not so I'll do my best. The scientists were taking children from planes and boats and mutating them for scientific stuff idk. When the mutations could not be kept tame the scientists evacuated and thus the mutations were set upon the island. Moving forward The red man. Was not a Cannibal he was a survivor like the player. In fact it was Megan's father. The red man. Let's call him joe. Caused the plane to crash because his daughter needed a live person to be resurrected. What you didn't show was timmys mutation in the end. Anyways Timmy was taken by joe so he could resurrect his daughter. The drawings were by Megan and not Timmy since Timmy was stuck dead inside the artifact. Fast forward when the player activates the pew pew laser gun artifact he brought down the plane and took whatever live person was there to resurrect his son. Thus repeating th motion of someone's family being taken(Some little things) all though the red paint is optional its something that fits the story. Also and this is my theory. The resurrection artifact is not what it seems. In the fact that the scientists were not doing wacky crazy experiments and more tests on humans to see the effects of the artifact. Not that children are required to power it but they didn't see fit to test the machine on kids. But they did. The floppy arm mutation. The charger. And all others were kids who were copied and made into a weapon of sorts. And that the Cannibals were in fact the parents of the used up dead kid batteries for the artifact. Although the ending is unclear and leaves room for tweaks and changes I think it's a good way to end a brilliant game. Hope this helps some questions

Lil Straw my only critique of this theory is I think the mutation occurs when the body is removed from the artifact. If 'Joes' daughter remained stable then you having removed Timmy is the catalyst prior to that. The one year mark likely is how long it took the next person to remove a body from the artifact, causing Timmy to mutate in turn.

Nope, the Character you're playing with didn't crashed the plane on purpose on the way he reacted when he Pressed the Activation Screen. knowing that the Plane Crashed and there's supposed to be a kid or two there who's alive. Do keep in mind that the Devs are still working to Finish the game, and yeah, I Wouldn't like the fact that you'll be the Red guy on the Beginning but It'll be nice where you have saved timmy and you'll have to Fortify yourself against heavy Mutant Raids and wait until the Rescue comes.

I think I may have a few answers on this judging by what I saw in this video. 1: The area they were in appeared to be a Secret Science Facility, using illegal human experimentation with Children (hence why Armsy was 6yo). It appears there were two test chambers we immediately saw, one was filled with an expanding flesh, the other chamber appeared to have been broken open. 2: Judging on The Artifacts and how Timmy started to go through the same process as Megan Cross (Obviously the little girl) The Project was to bring people back to Life, at least that's how it started. It seems the Artifact could bring people back to life, however it heavily mutated them, some of them normal looking, while others w ere deformed beyond recognition. On a side note it seems in order to bring someone back to life, you need a sacrifice. That's why The Red Man kept Timmy alive, he was Megan's Sacrifice. 3:After they realized that the mutation was a thing, (this is a theory) But I think they started to make more mutants intentionally, as a possible tool for war, However the Mutants appeared to have escaped from the broken chamber next to the pool of flesh in it's chamber, This lead to mass destruction of the base and the death of the scientists. 4: The Second Artifact appears to be how they got subjects unwillingly on the island. Planes fly over the island regularly and occasionally they just..took one down with the second device. And as for the plane we take down, Timmy needed a live sacrifice to bring back, so that's what you do, take down a plane, grab a survivor and kill the rest, then bring your son back to life using the artifact, however just like we saw with Megan, the artifact had side effects, and by the time they managed to be saved, Timmy was already long gone. I hope this answers most of this situation, if I missed anything let me know.

That ending seems to suggest that taking down the plane gave you the live sample you needed to place in the first artifact. You pretty much turned into the bad guy for whoever survived that new crash and carried them into the caves like one of the cannibals.

That's how i get the story,Some assholes were kidnapping kids and experimenting with them but something went wrong and the scientiests died and the kids turned cannibals. After you place Timmy on the bed thing,i realised they were trying to clone humans kinda.Somehow you got rescued and one year later you are invited to a TV show,with Timmy who dafuq knows how he is alive,you present how to cut trees and TImmy freaks the fuck out and eventually becomes that weird mutant Megan became and rip Timmy

I see it like this. A group of scientists are working on a way to bring people back to life. Theyve found 2 artifacts. One that sends EMPish and another that sucks the life of a living being. The scientists had issues with the "prototypes", resulting in a breakout of cannibals. A scientist had his daughter Megan in the lab. When the breakout happened Megan died. The father did his best to survive, looking for a way to get the revival artifact to work. He quickly rushes to the 2nd artifact and produces a EMP charge and brings a plane down. There, the scientist finds Timmy and takes him to the lab. He puts him in the life sucking artifact and connects his daughter to the cables. It works. He sees his daughter again and he is happier than ever. A few days later, his daughter mutated into a horrible creature with multiple arms and legs. He gets killed. Megan goes to the big room drawing on her way. Some time later the player finds the lab. He finds his son trapped in the artifact. He tries to revive him but he realizes that he needs a living human. He fights with Megan and kills her. He tries to sacrifice her but doesnt work. He sees the 2nd artifact sign. He rushes there to see what it does. He finds it and a radar with a plane marker on it. He saw the activate button. He knows it will bring the plane down and that many people will die. He does it anyways. Like in the opening scene, he takes a child and brings it back to sacrifice him. This time he found a communication device and they brought the player and Timmy home. Then the show happens, and Timmy mutates. I dont play the game but I dont see why not adding continuation of the story.

Caruso Q the red man used the device to take a plane down so he could use a live subject to bring his daughter back to life but she mutated and killed him, you do the exact same thing as he did to bring Timmy back to life and he mutates too. they were originally there to try to research the artifact to make a drug or procedure that can bring people to life without mutations but they killed everybody and took over the island

By the end of the game, you are covered in red paint, cause a crash, and abduct somebody in order to recover your son. It could be that the Red Man was taking living people, such as Timmy, and using the artifact on Megan to suppress the mutation. What I'm confused about is where the mutation comes from, or where the sacrifice for Timmy was found. Could it be that being used as a sacrifice for Megan in turn gave him the mutation? Did the father use a cannibal as a sacrifice and thus give him the mutation? So many questions.
