Yuri, I feel like I made more progress toward a straddle press to handstand via this 20 min tutorial than I made in the past 6 months on my own! Your cues on this just made all the difference. Thanks for posting it!

probably because I keep my shirt on, don't yell into the camera, don't repeat the same things every video, keep it honest, and don't try to clickbait people. kind of sad to think about but such is life

@@yurimar that's why I love your channel , you can tell that somebody actually makes high quality videos if they don't use clickbait or do other embarrassing stuff

omg, i feel like i gained a TON out of this. GREAT POINTS! i definitely ''think too much'' before i jump in, and noticed that when i try to capture a cool pose for the camera and have two seconds before the photo is taken, BOM, i'm holding handstand. could never figure out why. GREAT POINT on practicing the pose, because i'm definitely trying to practice balance and pose and too many things at once. definitely going to buy your program after seeing this. i like your style dude! thanks!

Props for a great breakdown. I’m a beginner and this seems very approachable. The mindset perspective at the end could be a video itself...nuggets of wisdom 🙏

Incredible tips and content. Your handstand is 🙌 I will give this a try, need to work out how to not let head touch the wall and jump without false sense of security from the wall.

Thank you very much! Can you please upload a video "thoughts on learning to stalder press"? This is one of my main crafts now and I would really like to hear some of your insights about it. I am fascinated by your ability to get really deep into the smallest details

nope. that one is too complex for youtube but I do have a full stalder press tutorial that will be coming to my vimeo on demand channel soon. This one won't be free unfortunately as it took me many hours to plan, film, and edit. I do have to pay my rent somehow

@@idoaviv5130 no worries, I understand. As much as I love making youtube videos to help people, it does take time and effort, and unfortunately likes and appreciation do not pay my bills. I do my best to keep my materials and services reasonably priced, especially compared to other coaches with whom you may not even get to deal with directly I still like to provide value to those unwilling to pay, but I can't put everything out there for free

Another technique to help is to place the back of your head against the way and slowly use your core/legs to pull yourself up to a handstand and back down.
@yurimar
@yurimar 3 жыл бұрын
thank you. I personally am not a proponent of this technique, as I believe pushing off the head may cause the shoulders to lose stability and create a false sense of security that won't carry over th the freestanding handstand. but that doesn't mean it can't be effective for some people if done properly. Just not a technique that I personally teach
