I think for games like this you should have a "conditional thumbs up" because clearly you liked the game, its just the price. So say its worth a buy at X discount or something rather than a thumbs down based on that one factor.

The only grinding I did was on the first level. I spent an entire day mining gems until I had 4 of each so I could upgrade future guns with said gems. You cannot transfer them from gun to gun. I am curious if you can load up say 4 damage gems and really have a REAL killer gun.

He has stayed at that because he is a niche reviewer. He contradicts himself flat out and doesn't like any games which display game mechanics past the early 2000's. He bases a lot of what he considers a good game on nostalgia and not merit.

The gameplay reminds me of "Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army" and I would never pay $49.99 for it. This seems to have some other stuff around it but, if I buy this, I will wait for a sale. Thanks for a great review!

I love that $40 is considered too expensive for this kinda small game. before steam pretty much everything was $50-60 and many of them were Multiplayer only FPS like the old Shadowrun game, Titanfall, etc. Now everything else is more expensive but in gaming $40 is expensive. That's pretty cool. Gaming has gone way down in price like computers in general.

i got this game and at first i didn't like it but now i like it alot. yeah the price is expensive but i feel the levels look so nice in hdr. The graphics really impressed me. Last ability could be a issue though. Shame because the core game is put together very well

just picked this up on sale. loving it so far. gun play is fun but the thing i love most is the puzzles. they don't do the std uncharted and tomb raider thing of having a flashing bloody pointer over the solution. great game, chilled fun and worth a buy for sure

Mack you should have mentioned the Day 1 season pass for this game. They want $50 for base game + $35 for season pass. Total ripoff. (They did the same thing for their last two Sniper Elite games.) That's why the game doesn't feel like it has enough content. They took it out to try and sell DLC.

Hmm, add in some building mechanics (towers, traps, summons, etc.), an endless mode, more superpowers and you've got yourself a pretty decent replacement of Orcs Must Die. Doesn't look interesting enough at this stage, though.

Picked this up in 2021 and lordy lordy, only 13 AU Dollars. What a blast, this game takes me back to games of the 90s. When games were about fun and not squeezing as much money from the players. Games that had something. They might not have been innovative but that struck a chord and had style. I also think of Singularity another fun but somehow obscure game that sticks with me. Thanks 👍

I think he actually convinced me to buy it. He said the game is fun and has single and multiplayer modes. I’m good with that. I was a big fan of Zombie Army Trilogy and this looks like more of that. I would suggest getting it now if you’re interested. I’m guessing that in a month or so the servers will dry up.

Guys, a micro review here from a guy that has played all the Borderlands; Diablos; and other such games coop with all my friends for a couple decades. Do NOT get this game. Rewatch the video, and you'll notice what we, sadly, found out only as we played. The maps get pretty maze like in places, so we went to look at the map to make some plans; figure out where to go; set up some ambushes; and see where we might want to backtrack. Guess what? There is NO map system. You can also get really turned around in battle, separated, lost, and guess what? There is NO mini map. And even when we tried to use basic directions to communicate where we where, and where the item/place we wanted to friends to go were, we could not because there is not EVEN a compass.And look again at the video. Notice, there is no information listed for all your other friends in the group. Is there health low? Are they low on ammo or money and should you let them loot the next chest? Are the frozen or immobile? All information about your cohorts is totally invisible. It really screws up the coop play in so many ways. We only payed $34 on sale, and still found it WAY too expensive. Wait till $9.99 and you might find it worth it for a short bout.
