Strataron NEIPA ft FermZilla and Hop Bong

It was third time lucky for this NEIPA with Nectaron and Strata. Two failures due to a cowboy dry hop technique and the dreaded oxidisation led to the purchase of a FermZilla Gen 3.2 Fermenter with Hop Bong. Finally, it was redemption time and this hazy pale beer turned out incredible with dank pineapple and grapefruit aroma and lingering citrus peel bitterness.

ABV 7%

-Water Profile:
Ca 100 - Mg 18 - Na 16 - SO4 93 - Cl 250
-Grain Bill:
Extra Pale Maris Otter 5090g
Wheat Malt 1090g
Naked Oat Malt 730g
Flaked Barley 360g
-Mash:
Strike water 30L at 72°C
60 minutes at 69°C
Mash out 10 minutes at 75°C
-Boil:
Pre-boil volume 24L
60 minutes
-Whirlpool:
30 minutes
Nectaron 37g
Strata 37g
-Dry Hop I (after active fermentation):
Nectaron 165g
Strata 165g
-Dry Hop II (last 4 days at 14°C)
Nectaron 120g
Strata 100g
-Yeast:
Wyeast 1318 London Ale (2 packs)

That looks absolutely incredible, I’ve just used my hop bong for the first time on a mosaic and citra beer and the experience was orgasmic, brilliant bit of kit. Never dared to brew a NEPA before but now with the combination of pressure fermenting and my hop bong I may just do it. The channel deserves to grow I love the videos fantastically informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work cheers guys 🍻👍

Haha we tightened the bag up to make it look less like granny’s knickers but you definitely get max hop character dry hopping them loose 👌 Hope you guys have a good one too 🍺
